KeymasterTonight we finally got to see Hook and Pan interact! FINALLY! In the present, Pan reminds Hook that they used to work together but at the end of the episode we saw Hook burn the Pegasus sail (lol). So how did they work together? Was Hook a pirate for Pan? How do you see this very classic relationship being spun on ONCE?

ParticipantI am guessing he returns to NL to destroy the plant that killed his brother or the person who didn’t warn him. This is when the two of them strike up a working partnership.

So Hook never returns to NL until after Milah is dead right?

ParticipantIDK it is the whole line that must not be named.
I would assume he is returning for the first time after the death of Milah. I would need to rematch it to catch how he phrases it.

KeymasterPan says that Hook worked for him but if Hook never returns to NL until after the death of Milah then that means Hook was working for him in NL. But what on earth was he doing? Cause I got the impression he never left NL for those 300 years.

Participant“Come back and work for me, like the old days.”
“We’ve known each other a very long time, Killian. We’ve done business before, and I think this is the perfect time to restart that relationship.”
“Be in my employ. Do my dirty work.”
I would think that whatever Hook did for Pan, it had to involve travelling in and out of NL, because if there’s dirty work that needs doing within NL, Pan, Felix, and the Lost Boys have that covered.
We’re pretty sure now that the Darling boys have been popping over to our world to do Pan’s dirty work, so maybe Hook was employed in the same way?
Having Pan call him by his first name was a nice touch. No respect, Pan is totally establishing that he’s the one in charge.

KeymasterSo what was Hook doing if he was traveling outside of NL for PP? The whole do my dirty work thing makes it sound like it wasn’t just going to gather food and other supplies.

ParticipantNot sure. Maybe Pan needed some prophecy pawns nudged around now and then back in FTL? But then Hook would have had ample opportunity to take out Rumple, which never happened. Hmmmm.
Pan would have had to have something to hold over Hook in order to get him to work for him, (whatever and wherever the job was). Perhaps he threatened to kill Bae? But if Hook helped Pan, then Bae would get to live peacefully, away from the Lost Boys, in his cave?

I could see Hook working for PP in the past out of a sheer desire to kill Rumple. So PP might’ve offered Hook a deal: “Work for me for X amount of years and I’ll let you go enact your revenge on the Dark One. Oh, and for good measure, maybe I’ll release the spawn of the Dark One if you do Y, too.”

ParticipantHere is a possibility of one of the missions that Hook might’ve preformed for PP:
There were several spoiler pics from 3×10 which came out, including pics of Freya Tingley, who plays Wendy Darling. She has disheveled hair and is wearing pajamas with a bathrobe overtop them. The robe is red and looks like the one Bae wore when he went to NL. But why would Wendy be wearing Baelfire’s old bathrobe? I read a theory on Tumblr on this very question:
So Bae went to Neverland with his robe but it wasn’t with Baelfire when he left Hook’s boat (assumption, it could of been in that bag but that seemed like a small bag) Anywho even if he did take it off, Hook’s deal with Pan, Pan lets him leave the island if he gets Wendy back to the island ( no i don’t know how this would happen) So Pan gives Hook Bae’s robe to convinve Wendy to come back with him and then she gets stuck there and that’s why she has Bae’s robe.
