Is he having the nightmares as well? I know that it seems they (sleeping, henry) are still cursed somewhere while sleeping.. but on a rewatch, I caught the little spot in the hotel room where he seems to slip into thought while she was talking about the dreamcatcher.. and when he says something to the effect of “it catches the nightmares?” he also says “keep it”. Is he having the same dreams that they are, or is he having nightmares of his old life, if he is indeed from FTL as theories speculate.
That little part just caught me, and I feel like there was more behind his “lets keep it” than a common theif just keeping trinkets.

I’m thinking he still has dreams about Rumple letting go of his hand, that is if he’s Bae. 😉 This FTL memories still haunt him, in my opinion.

Agreed. I think “Neal’s” nightmares are of his old life in FTL and his father letting go of his hand, which is why there’s a poster of a red hand in his NYC apartment. I don’t think “Neal” was a victim of the sleeping curse, which is what connected the nightmare of Henry, Snow, and Aurora together.
Side-note: I think the bad dreams will be how Snow eventually finds a way to contact Charming: using Henry’s dreams as a go-between.

He really seems to not believe in magic at first, even though his answer is non-committal (“I take it you do”). But mostly, if I were Bae, and I loved my father as much as he seemed to do, and I found out that this person seemed to be from FTL, I’d definitely have a different reaction. In fact, as soon as August says “This world has many temptations”, that would ring a bell. When I found out about the curse, I would go to Storybrooke searching for my father or try to contact him somehow. The only way I can see this happening is if Bae lost his memory when he traveled here, and August didn’t know that Neal is Bae. But I don’t see why that would be the case and it would seem a little forced, to be honest. So I think Neal is someone else.
The interesting part here for me is the nightmares. It looks as though the sleeping curse induces these similar nightmares, and that explains why both Henry and Aurora are having them. But do they mean something? Why THIS particular nightmare? Why a red room with no windows? If Snow had the same exact nightmares, wouldn’t she mention it? And if she didn’t, why are Aurora and Henry having the same nightmare? In fact, they seem to be IN THE SAME nightmare, since she mentions there was someone else there, and he says there was a woman there as well. So many questions, not enough answers!! 🙄

All magic comes with a price!

Bae being his fther, this is a good idea too.
