I’d give the show, so far, a solid B. It fits pretty nicely into the DW universe and there are some common threads but it’s a bit younger in theme and execution than DW. Still, it was a fun romp.
Now can I have DW back please?

Not shocking really; I’m all about superheroes and comics and big tropetastic thingys. Also, I was so hesitant about Nardole being a companion because he never made any impression last year, but he’s delightful here. He didn’t overshadow the Doctor and he didn’t get too much in the way.

She reminds me more of Ace.
It’s not a huge surprise. New showrunner for series 11 and three years tends to be the average for NuWho Doctors. Still, Capaldi was a good Doctor. I wish he had been given better, more memorable material but he made what he given work. Love those two episodes with “Me.”
I wonder if new companion Billie is staying on for 11 or not?
Also, April 15th is the official date!

Also, did everyone hear the news that Bill–the new companion–will be the first openly gay character in Doctor Who? I guess they consider Jack a pansexual instead of bisexual. Anyway, I’m excited to see what they do with Bill but also nervous that they’ll flub this up.
