The original ONCE…."The Charmings"

For anyone unfamiliar…ABC had another series in 1987 which wad pretty much a sitcom version of ONCE, called “The Charmings”.

The opening credits above explain it all. Evil queen im a furious rage puts the charming family including herself the Mirror and a dwarf asleep for 1000 years, and they wake up in modern day California.

A pretty hilarious series with its own twists on the fairy tales… It never got a DVD release and I hope it does someday with the popularity of all the fairy tale movies and television these days. I was shocked to see it mentioned a few times by the once creators who actually made jokes about snow and charming duking it out with the snow and charming in this series. 🙂 Just 1 of the many things that obviously inspired once.
