My favorite moments? Everything with Belle.
My least favorite moments? Everything without Belle. 😆
[adrotate group="5"]January 15, 2013 at 12:23 am #168348timespacerParticipantFavorite Moments: Belle finally getting to be heroic! We always knew from “Skin Deep” that she “wanted to be brave” and now we get to see her as an intellectual heroine. I love the fact that she used her books to achieve her goals in both Storybrooke and Fairy Tale Land. And we saw that her continued faith in Rumple is not a weakness – she really sees something deep in his heart that tells her there is still good in him. I think her ability to convince him not to kill Hook aboard the ship, despite Hook’s provocation, is proof of this.
Least Favorite: Emma and Henry’s reaction to Archie’s return. While I could understand them both being shocked and speechless at first, as several people have pointed out , they seemed to just shift into conversation much too easily (probably because the episode was running long.) Emma should have shown a lot more surprise that Cora is in town. And while I would expect Henry to be somewhat of two minds on the subject of Regina’s guilt (because he doesn’t want to believe it but the evidence appeared conclusive and she has lied to him a lot in the past) they shouldn’t show that by having him switch from “We have to protect ourselves from Regina” to “I knew she didn’t do it!” in a span of a few seconds. The scene would have made more sense if he had just said something like “I don’t want to believe it but I have to.” It was interesting that I think this was the first time he has ever referred to Regina by name, instead of calling her “Mom”. But I must admit I liked the drawings for the plans to transform Mary Margaret’s room into an armory – such an authentic eleven-year-old thing to do.
Most Surprised Moment: This doesn’t fit either category above, so I’ll post the detailed discussion in a different thread, but I have to say I did NOT expect them to rescue Archie so soon. I figured he’d be presumed dead for at least a couple of more episodes.

Dreamy convincing Belle to go on an adventure, Belle telling the men she was travelling with to go to the lake instead of a cave (der fellas), Belle figuring out how Hook came to Storybrooke and where he was hiding even though Rumpel told her to stay out of trouble, Rumpels turning to Belle and saying ‘He has to die’ while he was attacking Hook was hallarious; not the reaction I was expecting. And Archie’s back; all through the funaral seen I was yelling ‘he’s not dead, don’t be sad his not dead’ but they didn’t hear me so I’m glad he randomly rocked up at Emma’s place, that was cool.
Least Favorite: Belle getting cought by Regina; I still think they could have done that better.Good always wins < That's just what Rumplestiltskin wants you to think Keeper of Belle's Theme Music, The Queen of Hearts Maze, Cora's Missing Heart,Tiny's Golden Harp

Least-favorite moment: Belle losing her memory."That’s how you know you’ve really got a home. When you leave it, there’s this feeling that you can’t shake. You just miss it." Neal Cassidy

I loved seeing her use her intellect to help Dr. Hopper and Prince Philip, and I loved the way she handled Hook. Hook and Rumpel’s confrontation on the ship was great. The scene went further than I expected it to. Rumpel really bloodied Hook up. But I was happy when Rumpel listened to Belle and spared Hook’s life.
Least Favorite: There wasn’t a lot of Emma or Snow in this particular episode, but to be fair, their presence wasn’t really needed. So, I didn’t mind it. I liked that Snow and Charming were having some disagreements. It really grounded their epic love story. I like seeing them humbled a bit and acting like a real couple. I can’t wait to see if they’ll be able to live like a real family this season.

Least Favorite Moment
There was one more I forgot….
Belle and Rumpelstiltskin just letting Captain Hook go. I’m happy that he was spared and all, but they could have easily tied him up amd called Emma to come and arrest him.
THEY did suffer due to that oversight… see what happens when you are selfish?
Gold was selfish for not reporting the crime… being so wrapped up in trying to see if he could get out of town and look for Bae…. Like really where are GOLD’S priorities ??? It would have taken just a few minutes to get Hook captured and thrown into jail.
Then the last few minutes with Belle rolling over the town line and the car crash would never have happened.
.
.
Guys, it’s called a plot hole. The writers needed to find a way for Hook to shoot Belle, so that’s the way they did it. Stop over-thinking it. 😆BUT I ENJOY OVER THINKING IT… most times a lot more fun than the things I usually have to think about… What to cook for dinner? Did all the bills get paid? Do I need new brakes for the car? etc, etc, etc……

No offense to Captain Hoom fans, but he was not all that formidable. He has been bested numerous times by Emma and Belle. Not once has there been any real threat–not until he managed to push Belle over the line.
And Rumpelstiltskin was able to beat him up pretty easily. He was confident that Captain Hook could do nothing to hurt him.
January 15, 2013 at 1:24 pm #168419ceegeParticipantHello everyone,
My internet connection was down last week, so this is my first post since the winter break. I hope everyone had a good holiday season.
What an episode. Favorite moments:
1) The ending – totally shocked, as I did not see it coming. Hit me like a ton of bricks. I guess I did not expect Hook to recover so quickly.
2) Belle – nice to see her have something to do outside of the usual Rumbelle storyline.
3) Rumpel showing the cloth that used to belong to Bae. We know that everything he did was to be reunited with his son, yet this was one of the only post-Dark One parental moment we’ve seen from him. Every other time, we see him as a manipulating self-centered individual.
4) Henry’s reaction when finding out Regina is innocent: “Shouldn’t we tell her?” Priceless!
Least favorite moment:
1) House hunting with the Charmings
2) Belle! She did not deserve that. However Rumple deserved to be punished, could they not haveed Belle? Yes, I know that’s what made the ending dramatic and shocking –
I guess I want to have my cake and it eat too. But I was so hoping that true love once again would break the curse – that because she grabbed Rumple (her most cherished thing) as she went over the line, that it would spare her the memory loss. Only hope – since Rumple said it could not be undone, it’s almost a tv talk clue to say that they will find a way.January 15, 2013 at 4:02 pm #168438PriceofMagicParticipantI really enjoyed this episode so it’s difficult to pick a favourite moment.
My least favourite moment has to be Henry’s and Emma’s reaction to Archie’s return. Considering Henry was depressed and phoning Archie’s answering machine just to hear Archie’s voice, His reaction to Archie’s return was neither shocked or happy. It was more “I suppose we’d better let Regina know that we believe she didn’t kill you now”.
All magic comes with a price!
Keeper of FelixJanuary 15, 2013 at 4:27 pm #168442beauty the beastParticipantMost of my favorite moments pretty much came from Belle. I loved everything about her in this episode. Her bravery, her intelligence, her defiant nature, even her sexy costume. She was just awesome in this episode. I loved all the Rumbelle scenes and Mr. Gold’s scenes with Hook were also very intense.
My least favorite moment would probably have to be the Charmings’ house hunting scene. It just felt…out of place. But other than that, this was an amazing episode and a very good formal introduction to Belle’s character. But the thing I’m most grateful for with this episode is that it moved the plot forward. Rumpel and Hook’s rivalry is now in full swing, blood has been shed, people have been hurt (mainly Belle), Archie was returned safe and sound, and we have a new stranger in town. I’m just thankful that the plot is finally up and going.
