The Author’s pen was a magical essence and is still alive, with unfinished business, in Hellbrooke. Where is it? How can it help Henry or Emma with their quest/Operation Firebird?
Also, overall reaction to the pen being alive?

But I love that the pen is back in play, because it gives Henry purpose–and interesting purpose at that, especially with his apparently teaming up with Cruella to retrieve it. This show is stronger when Henry matters.

But does that mean that every inanimate object has unfinished business. How silly! I have no problem with the pen being down there but the idea that’s it’s alive and it, its very self has unfinished business, is…silly. Or is Chip going to come to life and talk to Rumple and explain how he’s a very sad tea cup because his OTP is currently on the rocks??

The idea that the pen is alive (and that Henry MURDERED it) is both hilarious and stupid. And unnecessary but I’m extremely interested in seeing where it goes.
I have a feeling Henry is going to be up to no good though.
And Cruella’s plan is stupid. That logic makes no sense. I still don’t understand how protecting your son from a woman you believe is going to kill him makes emma a murderer?????

The magic inside of them is a life force in itself. I guess you could compare it to plants, which too are inanimate objects, but still have a life force. Would Chip be considered a magical object, though? The pen has unfinished business because Henry still has duties as the Author, and I guess Chip could have unfinished business in regards to Rumbelle’s relationship.
March 13, 2016 at 10:26 pm #318931RumplesGirlKeymasterOMG Henry murdered the pen. I just realized that. Holy smokes, is that everyone but Belle? Is everyone a murderer now?

As we’ve seen in Pan’s shop EF objects go to the shop after they’re finished their use or are broken. The quill was was imbued with magic – the magic of the author. But when Henry breaks it – he’s accepting the role of author but rejecting unchecked power. The apprentice acknowledges that H has accepted the true meaning. Hence Henry took in all the magic at that moment – he no longer need the crutch (i.e. quill) – none of the other authors truly comprehended the role. I think in the end, Henry will see the light through the “smoke & gin” (LOL) and really become the author – just like Emma finally embraced the true meaning of being the savior

I’m more interested to know what Henry will do now that he knows about it. Once he finds the pen, what exactly will he write?

Well its a symbol of True Love. True Love is magic.
Holy smokes, is that everyone but Belle? Is everyone a murderer now?
Well when Belle lost her memory, she smashed the chipped cup. The chipped cup is now in the underworld. Belle murdered Chip 😛

Well he did once has aspirations of writing his father back to life. *sigh*
But I’m guessing he can “write” everyone home since we keep hearing that the only way to leave Hellbrooke is to the better place or the worse place.
