Going back to this…
When I spoke to Colin O’Donoghue last week, he said that through episodes filmed to date, “Hook hasn’t had a huge interaction with many of the other characters” — possibly because he falls in with the wrong (meaning a righteous) crowd upon setting boot in the Maine burg.
There’s a post in the main forum that mentions a tweet between Colin and the hair/makeup people that said something like “the pirate has left the building.” In that thread, bec mentioned…
@bec wrote:Maybe that means that Hook is no longer a pirate since he is now in SB. Maybe now he has changed to fit in- as in changing his clothes etc.
…which led me back to wondering about this spoiler about him falling in with a certain bunch of people, and our speculation about him looking different to fit in.

Interesting tweet. Maybe Colin will have to blend in, but I assumed they’d hire a different actress to fill-in for him if that theory came true. Maybe we won’t see Colin again for an episode or two.

I think he just washes his face and puts on normal clothes to fall in with the Charmings & Co. I’d consider that group of people righteous.

Yeah, that scenario could definitely be the case; it’d certainly be the most obvious. I was just going for a bit of a more outlandish theory that fits the second part of the description as “shocking,” “exciting” and “not what you’d expect” when I suggested that Hook impersonates a nun. But certainly, Colin could just be wearing normal, modern duds and playing Mr. Nice with Emma. I just have my doubts that Emma would fall for Killian acting all repentant for leaving her in the cell unless she allows her emotions to cloud her judgement (in which case I think Charming might try and act all fatherly to protect his daughter). However, Colin said, “Hook hasn’t had a huge interaction with many of the other characters,” which could mean Hook is laying low in a convent for awhile until he finds that dagger to try and kill Rumple.
Of course, Rumple may find Hook first, in which case Hook will have to defend himself. Colin also said that Hook’s ship is enchanted so that it can’t be seen or doesn’t appear as a pirate ship. Yet, maybe as the dark one, Mr. Gold is impervious to that sort of magic trick and so can easily spy Hook’s ship. There was that brief clip of Mr. Gold confronting and then beating Hook aboard his ship in the SB harbor, but the clip could be from a future episode other than 2×10.

December 6, 2012 at 7:18 pm #163923GrimmsisterParticipantI think ‘the good guys’ are going to be the evil looking ones next episode. In the promo when the speakervoice says “and evil…takes a stand” I get the feeling he is refering to Emma, Snow and Charming who is in the picture the moment he says it.
Some people have been theoriesing whether Snow and Emma where really Cora and Hook, because they dress differently in that scene in front of the mayors house. Especially Snow who I don’t believe we’ve ever seen wearing black and brown clothes before.
This could be because they are showing their evil side in this episode. Now the two main ‘evil’ characters have been shown too also have a good side, and so it’s time for ‘the good guys’ too show their bad side. What do you think about this ?

There was a popular “impostor theory” back before 2×9 when some thought Hook and Cora would come through the portal disguised as Emma and Snow. However, I had my doubts even back then. Now that we know all four, (Cora, Hook, Emma and Snow) are in SB, I think it’s safe to rule that theory out for good. It’d be hard to explain why there are two Emmas and two Snow Whites in town.

December 11, 2012 at 1:14 pm #164511elleParticipantI think the imposter theory might not work now. Both Captain Hook and Cora came to Storybrooke, and both of them are on the ship.
I think the scene with Emma, Snow White, and Prince Charming is them meeting up with Regina to discuss Henry. They could be wanting to take him away, or it could be some sort of nightmrare that she is having of them taking Henry away.

This is exactly what I thought. Just the way the charmings are standing with blank faces reminded me a lot of Reginas first nightmare of her tied to the tree. Also, this might be a minor detail, but when Regina throws Emma back, i noticed that charming is only protecting Snow and not Emma, when Snow was not in danger of Regina. And knowing charming he would probably throw himself in front of Emma. This is also why I think it could just be a nightmare. But i might just be reading too much into this, I tend to do that.

I didn’t mean to say that the impostor theory is still valid. I mean a nother explaination to them and especially Snow looking different in that scene, wearing dark colored clothes, could instead be that they are trying too show a more sinister or dark/not so nice, side to her and possibly all of the Charmings.
Its been said that someone we thought could be trusted, would show us a different side too their character. I think its going to be the Charming family. They are going to look less nice for a few couple of episodes. I should like to see that… and see what ‘our’ the viewers reactions to it will be.

No, I think you might have something there. My first thought after seeing that clip was that it was a nightmare as well. The clothes and the setting of the scene just seemed all too…odd.
