Oh I think we’ll see him eventually. If this is just the first week then we’ll have to flashback to SB again at some point to get the Henry arrival story. Wow that is a lot of characters….if anybody can handle it, it’s RC. Rumple had centuries to change and adapt to many different circumstances / situations and he treats people the way he has to in order to get them to do what he wants which involves a lot of different personalities as well. Crazy but oh so good.

March 12, 2013 at 4:08 am #179281TheGoldenKeyParticipantI’m thinking that Ben & Owen stumbled into SB just as it first appeared. Same scenario as Tommy & Jeff coming upon Brigadoon. I’m thinking that young Owen is really Greg Mendell and perhaps he and his father gave Sheriff Graham alias names like Ben & Owen because they were a bit frightened by all that they had seen. Maybe they used those names because Star Wars was their favourite movie. We know it’s seem to be Greg’s by his cell phone’s ring tone.
Is young Owen the reason Reggie wishes to adopt? Interesting stuff coming up. 😀 I just might sit back and forego all sneak peeks this week and just let myself be surprised.

Oooh I never thought about the Ben and Owen thing…it’s kinda like Auntie Em & Uncle Henry maybe. Ok I feel a *tiny* bit better now.
Either way definitely looking forward to seeing this ep.

I was starting to think that the whistle was gonna be the equivalent of Shannon’s whistle but they did mention it recently so I guess people are asking about it and they have a specific plan for it eventually.
Yes, I was happy to hear them mention that they do have a story in mind for it. It’s one of those little things that I’d really hoped wouldn’t just be a throwaway plot point that we never heard of again.
YAY for the flashback promo! I’m thinking that SB was zapped into being in some remote area that was supposed to be uninhabited, but Kurt and Owen happened to be camping there in the wilderness at the time, and ended up stuck in the middle of it.
March 12, 2013 at 5:39 am #179292MysteryKat25ParticipantJust realized I put whistle in there twice which totally ruined the metaphor.
Pretend it says that I was starting to think the Huntsman’s whistle is the equivalent of Shannon’s inhaler (Lost reference) but am so glad it doesn’t sound like it will be!

From the promo it almost looks like they’re on a hill looking down into SB, not already in it. A completely uninhabited wood until *POP* a town appears. Also makes me wonder: after the curse was “fixed” (if that’s the issues in this episode, the curse not working 100%) what would happen if someone were to come near the town limits? I mean surely there have been people in the woods but in SB. Do they suddenly feel the need to turn around and go home? Do they pass “over” SB and appear on the other side without having actually gone through the town?

Yes, they’re looking down on the town, but we don’t know how far out into the woods the SB boundary lies, so they may have still been within its borders.
