The thing on my mind now with looking at Tamara in the promo is if she’s magical, if that healer knows who Pinocchio is, that could mean there could be a number of people who have come through a portal to the real world.

All magic comes with a price!

wasn’t the healer that nice asian guy who called Pinocchio by his real name?

March 18, 2013 at 10:41 pm #180767RumplesGirlKeymasterJust listened to it like 5x in a row. Pretty sure it’s Tamara.

If she is just a normal person who is trying to steal magic then we have to wonder why. How many normal people openly believe in magic (cue Jefferson’s line from Hat Trick about people wanting magical solutions to their problems but refusing to believe in magic). Is it for selfish purposes. Maybe what’s she learned is that time stood still in SB, maybe she wants to be young forever, a sort of take on the Fountain of Youth.
Perhaps she has a terminal illness and is hoping magic can cure her.
That could be possible, especially if she meets August while he’s turning back into wood and learns that magic is what cures him. In the promo, it looks like August meets a healer in Puket who tells him that only following through on his responsibilities will heal him (AKA: getting Emma to break the curse). So, if Tamara knows that, she could have started to plot and plan to take the magic from SB to heal her. We do hear August’s voiceover ask if (someone) is planning to steal the magic of SB.
Yeah, almost as if in saying “you deserve your fate”, she is implying he shouldn’t get the magic but she should. Nice theory!
Keeper Nealfire's/Bae's scarf, Henry and Neal's bribery ice cream sundae, Baelfire's sword, the coconut map, and more.
March 18, 2013 at 10:59 pm #180769SlurpeezParticipantI’m pretty sure it’s Tamara who says that last line in the Canadian promo. I think Tamara knows a lot about magic, possibly because she’s not from our world. I believe August and Tamara know each other, and he may have even introduced her to Baelfire. I think at some point, she found out about August’s failure in his responsibility to help Emma break the curse, and so she snapped that August deserved the fate of turning into a wooden man. If Tamara wants magic, then presumably she knew about Emma and wanted the curse broken, too.

March 18, 2013 at 11:53 pm #180777RumplesGirlKeymasterDo you think August introduces Neal to Tamara OR do you think Tamara has been following August, saw him talking to Neal, and then “ran into” Neal? Because she couldnt follow August into SB until after the curse was lifted, right? But if Neal knows something, might as well hang around him. ALSO, it looks like this means Neal and Tamara didn’t met until right before August came into SB in S1. So, they haven’t known each other that long. Clearly this means SwanFire will win out. 🙂

August might even have been the one to suggest Tamara take a romantic interest in Neal, to help take his mind off of Emma. Baelfire would have been a huge distraction that kept Emma from breaking the curse. Tamara being linked to Neal solved that problem (at least until now). I don’t even expect Tamara really loves Baelfire; I think she was just using him, the way she was using August (and maybe even Greg) to get to the magic.
