I think Aurora is going to play a big part in the good vs evil here. She is trying to do good, but due to the fact that Cora has her heart, it is impossible for her to have that kind of free will. And Snow and Emma are going to ask themselves how Cora knew where they were going. I see no way that they are not going to be able to figure out the heart seen. Also I’m wondering about Precurse fairytale land, because even though the episode is called the queen of hearts, all we see is Regina and Hook. Maybe Hook learned the whole heart taking thing from Regina.
Also just pointing out Emma finally did get to punch someone in the face, hard. And it looked like it hurt

I posted this theory elsewhere, but it’s based on the promo for 2×9. Maybe Regina hires Captain Hook as a mercenary pirate to kill Cora. Being a persuasive villain, Cora, however, convinces Hook to side with her instead, promising him the information he desires: how to kill the dark one. Then Cora fakes her own death using magic, and Regina sees what looks like her mother’s body and tells Rumplestiltskin that Cora is dead.

Hello everyone !

French Canadian fan here…I have been reading this forum for ages but I never thought of registering until today !

I had to register because I am surprised that no one thought of the speach Cora gave to Aurora about the Wraith. It seems to me that Cora’s soul was consumed by the wraith (that would explain why Regina thought she was dead) and somehow she was able to revive…

any thoughts ?

That’s a cool idea! You’re right, it would explain why Regina had seen her mother “dead”. Also, it’d add extra gravity to the scene where Mr Gold marks her in the jail cell, if she has personal experience with the Wraith in the past. Assuming Rumple was involved in that event, that would likely be the very same medallion that had been used on her mother.

I’m gonna make myself nuts trying to figure out what’s going on with whatever Regina and Mr Gold are doing. 😆 They’re underground, (and is that the Fairy Godmother’s wand that he’s playing with?), then they’re at the well, and Henry’s screaming, and Gold is all, “No one can get through,” and then Regina’s at the well, holding her hands over it, sucking up the power somehow…what’s with that, I wonder.

I wonder if Emma having magic will play into this somehow. I wonder if it’ll counteract what Regina and Rumple do to the portal or somehow allows them to come through unharmed…probably not on purpose, but last time when Emma got that hat working it wasn’t on purpose either.
