1/ OUaT did the same last year during all the events … they always have a problem with recouping their numbers initially but then they get better.
2/ Rating system does not reflect the TVRs, INSTANT DOWNLOADS and streaming from Hulu, ABC and other such venues. That is where the real numbers are FOUND… repeats and people who watch the first time on line is not reflected currently in ratings.
3/ DVD sales is another way of gauging the popularity of the show…. DVD sales were pretty good from what I have heard.

During her latest live blog with BB, Jane Espenson said that the show is so strong she could see it going easily for 10 seasons. That was a week and half ago.

Wow. Can you imagine 8 more years of us meeting here on the board to scratch our heads and talk about spoilers? 😆

Yes I can! 😀 Back in 1999, I met a group of women on an online board. Through the years, close friendships have developed and we’ve had many get togethers throughout the US and Canada. Some have come from as far as Pitcairn Island and the UK. So one never knows, what type of friendships and bonds lay waiting 🙂

The show hasn’t started again here in Australia yet, so I’m guessing there are other countries around the world where it hasn’t started yet either. Once it airs everywhere else I think the ratings will increase. From what I was told, OUaT is the 2nd most popular show (Revenge is first) in Australia.
I think the ratings will sky rocket though in this upcoming episode. The ratings have to be really low for a show to be cancelled. Over the years there have been so many new Aussie shows that didn’t even get through the 1st season because the ratings were too low, because no one watched them – but OUaT is no where near that low, so I think it’s fine.
Also, if a show has to be cancelled due to low ratings, it’s commonly done during the 1st season, because you can judge from there whether it will be sucessful or not. And nothings happened so I guess it’s fine 🙂 (But it might be different in the US).February 15, 2013 at 2:07 pm #173511RumplesGirlKeymaster@Sarah_TN wrote:

HAHA! Oh man, especially with weeks like this one leading up to Manhattan!!

It still did better than the rest of the shows in that timeslot. People also feel that the way the recent hiatus being 3 weeks long was another factor against the ratings, and it doesn’t help that we have yet another break after this episode because of the Oscars. Ratings should pick up with this episode and the remainder of the Season, since there won’t be more awards shows or football to compete with. If ratings don’t pick up, then I would be really concerned, but I have faith we will get a Season 3.

Yes, judging by the amount of spoilery reviews and hype there’s been put out there in this past week, it seems like the powers that be are putting the word out that things are about to get GOOD from here on in. Without giving anything away for those who don’t like spoilers, just let me say, there’s some juicy stuff coming up over the next few eps, and this week’s in particular will likely leave you wrecked by the end. They’ve obviously been saving some big stuff up for this part of the season, so it can be shown without the 3 week hiatus interruptions.

I started a different thread where I hope to track the ratings … I figure one thread for everyone to post there links onto … so much more reassuring information has been found.Nonnie
