Excellent point. Perhaps the EF was going to be destroyed ANYWAY, so the only way that the BF saw to save everyone’s life was to bring them to another land en masse.
I love how one cryptic spoiler about a “chilling flashback” sends us all reeling with tangental, off-the-wall theories about the BF. It’d actually be hilarious if by the end of the series, the BF is actually blameless.

Oooh, I love this idea even more because in stories like these when the person tries to run from his/her destiny, it usually happens because that person tried to escape their destiny, e.g., Oedipus, so perhaps if he/she didn’t do anything whatever bad thing that is supposed to happen wouldn’t have happened.
True! My head is spinning outta control with all this stuff right now. Feel like I’m trippin’ on fairy dust. *headdesk*
Yes, I just want Sunday to be here already, so I can stop thinking about all these possibilities. There will be a million more new questions and theories I’ll have after “Manhattan”, but all of these spoilers are so vague that it’s very frustrating to even theorize because I don’t even know if I’m theorizing about the right character or not.
February 14, 2013 at 4:46 pm #173300raulybarraParticipantI’ll be honest, I’ve had long questioned Blue’s motives since the episode Dreamy. For a story that that has True Love as a central theme, it struck me as odd she’d be so keen to squash it.
Something to think about though… more than anyone else, who is responsible for everyone being in Storybrooke as they are? Blue is responsible for sending Bael. She is also responsible for getting Emma here, too. How much of this was a set up? She is also one of the few characters for which we have little or no background information. We know more about Cora’s past than we know of Blue’s. We do know that right before the curse, she did leave to “prepare.” Prepare what? And how?
One last though… Go back to the beginning with Rumpel’s prophecy. He doesn’t just prophesy Emma breaking the curse. He also warns of a final battle. We haven’t seen that yet.

Yes, like, she tried to save everyone by sending the initial threat (Bae) away, but then it became apparent quite quickly that they were all still screwed anyway, and she had to realise that there was nothing she could do to stop the destined destruction, so she just had to roll with it as best she could, keep an eye on Rumple, and manipulate any little thing she could. That would explain away her not helping Regina, if Blue had resigned herself to the fact that one way or the other, it was gonna happen, so even if she stopped Regina, the fates would find another way, and another, and another. So rather than postponing the inevitable and spending the rest of her days completely preoccupied with all this doomsday business, she just let it play out.

I know right! ๐ ๐ Even if we end up being completely wrong, at least we’re having fun. ๐

So according to spoilers we will have a very revealing flashback that will send a chill down our spine!!! And we will start to question who the real big bad is on the show…This has got me on obsession mode!!! Im freaked out ๐ฎ in a good way ๐ What do you guys think? Who is the original bad? I have a theory and I hope to hear yours…
The BIG BAD is: Blue fairy, or someone connected to BF!!
REASONS TO THINK THIS:
1) Blue Fairy has lied before, she is not 100% pure (the case of the wardrobe), she manipulates events. She has a dark side (Manipulated Gold into believing August was his son, Also remember how she treated separated Nova/Grumpy) ,2) In the episode where Blue; gives Baelfire the magic bean to open the portal to the land without magic, she tells bae the following:” You are the part that keeps him human, that little light inside of him that still glows, its you”….SO what if it Blue’s plan all along was to make Rumple really evil/dark, so he would create the curse to get to the land without magic…MAYBE Blue or someone she works for, wants something in our world, but could not get to it….
3) So as a way to kill the “light” inside of Rumple, she needed to separate father/son….How, Could she have done it? SMART MANIPULATION….What if, Blue talked to Morraine, and made her tell baelfire about the “blue star” the most powerful in all the land; So that Bae would contact her, then once talking to Bae, she “suggested” the solution of realm jumping, and going to a place without magic, where Rumple’s magic would not work….The Blue Fairy has lied before, and maybe there was another solution other than realm jumping, (Belle was breaking Rumple’s curse by true love’s kiss after all)…Once Baelfire was “sold” on this idea because he wants his papa back =( ; The plan was in motion, Blue Fairy, the “original power” knows Rumple is a coward and will have a hard time going through the portal, SO Blue fairy hidden in the trees accelerated the closing of the portal on purpose when Bae fell…. because she WANTED Rumple to be alone/angry/dark; She then cleverly lets rumple get to the conclusion of the curse as a solution (why didn’t she tell him about the enchanted tree???/ beanstalk ,Anton had the bean stem to grow more beans..) ….Sneaky manipulation to get Rumple “the dark one” to go to the land without magic VIA curse…WHY??? That is the question…Why through a curse…I believe the curse broke a thin veil/barrier between realms, a protection of sorts, now any evil can come through….
4) It would be interesting for Rumple, “the master manipulator” to have been a pawn all along for a greater evil purpose….be it the Blue Fairy, or someone she works for maybe the fairy king “Oberon”, or some other villain….
5) The Blue Fairy stopped the arrows that would kill Regina…WHY? because she is good and wanted to do Snow’s will? MAYBE or because she wants the curse to take place??
6) The Blue Fairy, Fabricated the quill with squid ink, that imprisons Rumple after he sings the contract with Cinderella.
7) FUN Fact, I read in the forums that the role was originally offered to Lady Gaga!! ๐ ….who better to play the fine line between pure goodness and pure evil….she is fierce, and can look ultra glam or ultra scary….lolz ๐
I love this theory. I always though blue was a bit shady. I just posted in another thread that we never found out how August knew about Rumples knife. All he said was that a little fairy told him. But when and how did she know about the knife. They must have been communicating or that was part of her “preparations”? perhaps
February 15, 2013 at 2:35 am #173441nonnieParticipantWE NEED TO CHECK OUT THE PALEY FEST & other ComCons to see what they say about the show… they always have a great discussion that gives a lot of insight about what they think and how they are developing the story.

Blue as the original power might just as well have brought forth the first Dark One and to get a possibility of destroying him should the whole affair not go to her plan, also may have created the knife. ๐

So Chris let me understand you right. You believe that it was something about the original power(Blue) that ‘in the dawn of time’ created The Dark One or more correctly the ‘power’ of the dark one. And then perhabs because it was an accident or that Blue changed her mind and wants to destroy the power of the dark one, she then set all the event that we have seen in motion in order to make that destruction happen ??

.This is interesting in hindsite of the latest episode when Rumple tried to avoid the foretold destiny of his son becoming fatherless, by busting his leg to avoid going to war, because he assumed he would die there and that was how Baelfire would become fatherless.. but instead it was because of that action wich brought with it everything else that happent and led to Bae becoming fatherless non the less.
