So I’m not the only one who thought of Darth Vader’s meditation chamber when he saw the flower.

I didn’t even think of that, but it works too!

Oh it’s official. Blue is Dark Side.

    I agree.

So, I’m totally not a Star Wars buff. What exactly is a mediation chamber?

You know now that I see them side by side, I wonder if the ONCE scene is paralleling the SW scene.

I wouldn’t be surprised knowing what big SW buffs Adam and Eddy are.

Remembering what Rumple said about a long and complicated history with the Fairies, it stands to reason that Blue may have very well tried to interfere with Rumple’s plans and got burned and for more than just giving Bae a bean (perhaps even trying to protect Regina from Rumple’s machinations after her birth) .  That might explain why Blue seems enormously overprotective with all those fairy bylaws.
Also isn’t it curious that Cora takes the shape of Blue and Blue mentions Cora by name when chastising Tink. Safe bet that there is some history there too.

Since we’re on the subject of Star Wars and I’m a die-hard fan,  does anyone see a parallel between the Fairies and Jedi here besides me. A celibate monastic order dedicated to high ideals but a tad myopic seeing things a little too black and white the way Obi-wan and Yoda see Anakin as beyond the pale while Luke knows there to be good in his father and holds true to that despite everything. Luke could certainly teach Blue (and everyone except Henry and Belle ) a lesson or two in faith in my humble opinion.

Oh, and Tinkerbell refers to Regina as a Queen “in the Enchanted Forest.” Does that mean the place with all the flowers isn’t part of the Enchanted Forest?

I’m thinking it’s probably some big garden in the sky. Maybe it’s the show’s version of Pixie Hollow? I know that that’s supposed to be in NL, but perhaps in Once, it’s just a totally separate land where Fairies live that exists between other worlds?

Yup. Excellent points. A and E are SW lovers as well so I have no doubt there are overtones. Does this make Blue Obi-wan or Darth though?

I do. I saw the Jedi = fairies thing a long time ago.

Blue is neither Obi-Wan or Darth. She is Emperor Palpatine, the one pulling all the strings making stuff happen under the facade of good.
