Also interesting to note: genies and silver do not mix (the silver bars burned Cyrus’ arm in the cage, it’s why he couldn’t escape even using his genie powers).
Not sure how that fits into everything, but it is a genie weakness that somehow blocks his magic.

In keeping with the Chess theme, you can bring back any piece if a pawn reaches the other side –it is not just promoting to a Queen. Jafar wants to restart the game.
Ooooh. Oooooh. I like it! If she is Anastasia, does she think the Knave is dead? He hasn’t been in WL for 28 (Cursed) years.
I know we’re tossing around RQ being Knave’s Anastasia, (and I think it’s a valid theory), but what if we go back to the other theory about RQ being Grace’s mother? Perhaps she wants to go back and change history so she never ends up separated from Jefferson and their daughter?

I loved how he reached through the bars of the cage to let the origami crane fly away, even though it was obviously causing him agony.

I mean Cyruy can’t do that but maybe he can give other people the power to be the exception of the rules.
I was thinking this as well. He’s got some loop hole he thinks will work to change the rules of magic, but, given “the bigger the wish, the bigger the consequence” emphasis, it will probably backfire on him. (Trap him as genie and somehow freeing Cyrus to be with Alice?)

Interestingly, silver bullets are also effective weapons against vampires and werewolves.

If a genie’s magic is blocked by silver, and if a genie is also tied to his wishes, then (crack theory time) can the wishes be “kept safe” if you keep them in silver?
(that sounded better in my head but do you see what I’m trying to say)

Hmm, that is a very good question.
October 27, 2013 at 12:10 pm #219071RumplesGirlKeymasterEventually Alice is going to use one of her wishes. I think that’s a given: it makes for a better story if Cyrus suddenly slips closer to Jafar and the RQ’s evil plan. But I keep going back to what Alice said in the most recent episode, 103, of “there is more than one way to use a wish.” Can you destroy wishes? Or at least take away their power?
