Analyze the Rumple speech to Belle. What exactly was he referring to? Is he dying? Does he know that? Is Rumple going to die at the end of this season?

I don’t think he plans to die, but I think he’s not certain how the author will help him–or IF.

I have no idea. But it’s a glaring sign that Bobby Carlyle is off the show at the end of the season.

And he was clutching his chest. Add in the scene from the next episode in the hospital bed it seems Rumple is not long for our world

Planning to die = /  = not dying though. And the way he was clutching his chest…says to me that he knows something is up

I don’t think Rumple’s going to make it…I wonder if it’s because he was resurrected the way he was…maybe it’s a limited resurrection?

Oh that’s good. That would explain it. He’s no longer immortal; he has a time limit

Okay, because it’s so odd, that speech, I went back and transcribed it from my recording. This is exactly what he said to Sleeping Belle.

My love…I need to tell you this while it still matters. My magic comes at a cost as you know. And I have racked up so much debt I can never be clear of it…unless I find a way to change the rules. But now… [his hand on his heart] here’s the hard truth. Something else is changing. So, if I’m gonna change the rules, I’m gonna have to do so quickly. [kisses Belle’s hand] I will come back for you if…if I can.

His heart is getting darker and it can’t take much more?

Isn’t Rumple supposed to be immortal wherever magic exists? And last I checked, there was magic in SB. Oh well for consistency. Rules? What rules? Whatever.

Could magic be leaving Storybrooke somehow? Slipping away? Rumple brought it to the town with his magic potion but maybe that is wearing off…hmmmm…..
