The Snake Staff

It was so clever of them to make the staff be Amara. Really cool twist! I liked how they shot that whole scene, with her actually writhing snake-like on the ground.

God help Jafar if Amara manages to bust outta that thing.

I just got all sorts of creeped out from the way Amara and Jafar’s relationship developed from master – apprentice to lovers. It was similar to Cora and Rumple, but at least she was a grown woman when their relationship started. Jafar was still just a child when Amara took him under her wing. Ick.

But yes, props to Naveen for playing a conniving Jafar. I didn’t expect him to backstab Amara; I thought it’d be the other way around.

That’s what I thought too, that she was the one using him the whole time.

Well obviously will see Amara again if the Snake Staff blink. Snakes Staff just don’t blink if that doesn’t mean anything. I wonder if Jafar’s snake staff still has a special power though. Since it’s actually a living person it must have some abilities.

In the movie, Jafar uses his staff to hypnotize people. If the snake staff blinks then I wonder if it can do that.

All I could think about during their scenes is darn it but they love LOST actors.  LOST spoiler== She played the assassin from Russia who tries to take out Sayid after picking him up in a bar, only to die later on from dynamite

I do wonder if she might come back though.  Jafar is one cold dude.
