This has been very interesting. I’m surprised Pilot went out this soon. At the beginning of all this I would have guessed it would have made it to the Top 3. Both episodes left are in my Top 10.
[adrotate group="5"]I think that while i like The Pilot, it, alongside The Thing You Love Most, are the two episodes that cause the most long term plot inconsistencies for the show. At least back then. Now everything the characters do is pretty much inconsistent with previous characterization and the short term plots have no connection to the near past of the show let alone the far past of the characters lives.
But even back then, you can tell that the writers were not keeping track of their timeline and would throw out dialogue that was inconsistent with future events that happened in the show.

Lastly, I had a ton of fun doing this with all of you and found it fascinating. Thank you so much to all of you who participated and made this the fun it was! Hopefully you were reminded as I was, that despite the show’s pitfalls, it really has had some incredible episodes!
I have to say that this was a blast. So Thank You for putting in all the work to do this!!! I had a lot of fun thinking about past episodes and I agree that even though the show has a lot of pitfalls there were some really great episodes and even more surprising in every season.
My initial prediction was that Skin Deep would win and that the Pilot would come in second so obviously I was wrong. A Land Without Magic is my #4 so I am not too disappointed.

There were several other episodes that I loved a part of but maybe not the entire episode.

For an additional possible poll – how about the worst parent on once upon a time? Between Malcolm, Milah, Papa Hook, Fiona, J. Cricket’s parents, Cora (I’m probably forgetting someone) and heck even toss in Snow and Charming for constantly leaving baby Neal in unknown hands to go off and be daring heroes.
And a friend and I recently rewatched the seasons specifically trying to tally how many people each Once character has killed over the six seasons so if anyone is interested I can post those numbers here.
