What if Henry’s the savior? And Hades wants him out?

When you boil it down to its basics, the Dark Curse takes away Happy Endings, the very thing that Emma restores. I think Hades and Emma are being set up to be opposites of each other (the enemy of life, the savior or life;) It would make sense for him to have created the Dark Curse that she was destined to break.
So it wasn’t Merlin? I forget didn’t someone re-con say a Soccer create it or again am i just hearing things…My ONCE canon (little though their may be) Is kinda lose even with the Retcons.
They better explain how Hades can relate to the Dark One if not by a connection (Though that may be possible) at least through who’s the oldest and more powerful of the two.

Hades created the curse and sent it across the river on the black ferry?

Like maybe by creating the dark curse, the repercussions were creating this “dark evil darkness.” Once this is revealed, perhaps we will go back to the Lily story line and they will tie that up going into next season. I still think we are going to get the true origin story behind how the darkness officially came to be, and not just how Merlin tried to control it and who the first person to inhabit it was (Nimue). How did it even exist? I’m guessing Hades and I’m guessing it has something to do with the Dark Curse that he created, that Rumple later retrieved with the Queens of Darkness.

Possible. but unlikely. Hades would have used Hook to tell Emma to leave then. It would have been more effective. It seems he wants everyone to stay, but he wants Regina gone.

Also, the clock started moving again when Regina helped her father move on to a better place and decided to stay behind and help rest of residents of the UW resolve their unfinished business. This obviously parallels when Emma decided to stay in SB in season one to help Henry.

Yes, I think that’s right. And if there’s a connection between Hades and Zelena, then it makes me think that this is going to be a Regina-centric half-season.
I think Hades is probably the origin of the Dark Curse, but I’m wondering whether he created it, or whether it is a more “primordial” evil, in the same way that the Dark One curse is a kind of corrupted original magic. And how does any of this relate back to the UW, soul accounting, unfinished business etc?
Also, what are people making of the five weird colored “streams” in Hades’s throne room?

They seem to represent the five rivers of the Underworld: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greek_underworld#Rivers

I explained this in another thread on the Underworld and Hades. The colors even seem to line up with what the five rivers of Hades represent (Lethe being white for oblivion, for example)

Gah! I didn’t even make the connection! Thanks 🙂 Ok, random theory — any reason to think that the forgetfulness curse might be somehow derived from Lethe? And the Dark Curse derived from Acheron?
