Theory about Neal and Emma

If Emma was already pregnant when she met Neal then he started helping her and wanted to raise the baby with her. If this is true than I hope Neal is Baelfire ( If Emma was telling the truth about Henry’s father to Mary Margaret ). Also that is the reason why Emma kept the yellow beetle because she wanted to keep the memory of Neal helping her.

That’s an interesting idea about her having already been pregnant when they met. I could see that if she’d just been through a messy breakup with a guy, she could be lashing out by doing things like stealing cars, maybe because she wanted to get out of town fast and couldn’t afford a bus ticket. Depending on how quickly the events progress, if she just broke up with someone right before getting together with Neal, she could have doubts about which one is the father when she discovers she’s pregnant. I’m guessing the SwanFire shippers would hate that idea, but if Neal is Bae, it would be carrying on that theme of raising a question as to biological paternity, which was implied regarding Bae and Rumple. And if Emma had doubts about who the biodad was, but Neal/Bae still insisted on raising the kid like his own no matter what, that’d be like what Rumple did with him.

Personally, I don’t think she was telling the truth about Henry’s father to Mary Margaret. I think there is more to the story that Emma doesn’t want Henry to know about his father and herself. I always thought she could be lying about him because if she was telling the truth about him, why did she keep his car ( unless it was stolen when they met ).

To me that is another question with Henry’s father and Emma:

If Neal is the father than why did she keep the car because to me she didn’t like Henry’s father that much when she was telling Mary Margaret about Henry’s father.

I am a big supporter of Henry’s father being Bae. I can see Emma not wanting to tell Henry the whole truth. I can also see a plot line about that happening matter on in the show. I like the ideal that the story is wrapping up its plot lines so neatly. I also want to see how everyone deals with the reality that they are all connected.

My big theory is that the finale battle is still to come and it is Cora that Rumple was talking about and it will be him and Regina that will face off against her to bring back the happy endings. The finale price will be him and Regina giving up magic for “Good”. 😀

I think the theory that Neal is Bae/Henry’s father will ultimately be right. I read in an article where Jennifer Morrison says about Emma and Neal that “they had to survive to make life OK. There's an interesting parallel for them that they both are on their own in this world and have had to find inventive ways to make life OK.” This quote makes me think that Neal had to live without any family (Rumple) and make it on his own

Also I think that the reason Emma lied to Henry about his father being an honorable man who died is because his father was probably none of those things. Obviously we see him at beginning of the season so he’s definitely alive and just the fact that she ended up pregnant and alone makes me question this guy is honorable in any way. I mean, really? What type of man leaves the woman they love pregnant and alone? It makes me think that Neal/Bae might end up being a coward or self-centered like his dad who abandoned Emma when she needed him the most. So Emma lies so that Henry can have a father that he can be proud of.

To be fair Neal never knew Emma was pregnant because she found out when she was in prison and he was out of her life by then.. I felt so bad for Neal because it was August who kicked him out! He truley loved her 🙁

I had a suspicion that she was pulling the fake pregnancy scam interesting she found out she was pregnant while in the pen, also it seems as though that story she told Henry was 100% made up lol

I expected as much, but I did kind of hope that bit about the pumpkin pie was true. Henry deserves at least one real thing to hold onto. I mean i completely get why she lied, but still…
