My theory (and sorry if this has been said before, and careful with spoilers because I know that mega spoiler pics of the finale have been leaked but I haven’t seen them!) is that Nealfire was the ORIGINAL Peter Pan. He’s certainly been around long enough. I think Tinker Bell probably helped him get out of NL before the curse hit. The lost boys, like everyone else, were cursed and sent to Storybrooke. Now that they’re awake, they want their Pan back, but get angry when they find out he grew up. But learning that he has a son, they decide to kidnap Henry to NL to make him the new Pan. I don’t think Henry would ever run away to NL alone, he loves his family too much and wants to fix it. But I do think that once he gets to NL he’s going to begin to like it (in a Simba kind of way) and by the time Emma and Co. finally find him, he’ll be a full-on Pan. (Henry Pan? Has a ring to it. Lol)
I think Tamara is going to be the one to kidnap Henry. She will use the beans they are growing, to bring that story full circle, to travel to neverland to find magic she can use. And I think she will destroy the rest of them so there is no way to follow and then comes Nealfire who knows another way to neverland (Second star on the right and straight on til morning).
I really like this theory. I was on board for neal being pan but I’m starting to think he won’t be. I’m ok with thy if this theory turns out to be true.
While Henry could become a Pan, I don’t see him as THE Peter Pan. Peter Pan as the boy who never grows up is a long time role. Bae spent potentially a couple centuries there, so that could fit. I don’t see Henry as potentially spending enough time in NL or as Pan to become THE Peter Pan. How long do you think Emma and co. are going to be searching for him? Without someone being in the role at least a couple centuries it will just never fit in my mind.
