When I first saw this I was absolutely sure it would make no sense, and would be a total stretch. I always found it weird that the casting call said that Tamara had to be african-american. As soon as I saw that she was evil, I was sort of mad with the writes, because almost all of the non-white cast members that appeared are either Lancelot (don’t trust him, he’s Cora), Sidney (come on, he’s stupid) and also Mulan (which wasn’t a very appealing character to me.

So as soon as I saw this theory, it made a lot of sense to me, because if she wasn’t related to anyone like that, it wouldn’t make sense that she absolutely had to be African-American. I don’t know, just read the theory and I think you’ll like it! Comment what you thought about it so we can all discuss. There you go:

Good luck surviving the hiatus, ya’ll.

i posed the same theory on about pg 5 of this thread since we’re discussing Tamara over there. I think that theory is spot on!

I don’t know if I want to admit that Tamrara is half fairy. That would mean that fairy godmothers are loose women, and I don’t think such pure beings would have one night stands with humans.

The fairy godmother wouldn’t have to be a loose woman for the theory to work. Tamara’s parents could have been married when her mother became pregnant with her.

I think it’s more likely that she’s Cinderella’s fairy godmother’s granddaughter since the item she gave to the Dragon was a picture of her with her grandmother.

Yeah, but go back and look at that photo, Tamara’s grandmother was an old woman. When Rumple killed The Fairy Godmother, she was quite young.

On the other hand, I’d buy that maybe that was her mother, and Tamara was raised by her grandmother. But I also think Tamara was telling the truth when she told August that she wasn’t magical, so if her mom was a fairy, she wouldn’t be “quite human” as she put it. I’m leaning more toward her being Morgan Le Fey, which could explain her interest in magic and her seductress nature. Maybe she got stuck here at some point and wants to go back. And making her black could be their way of hinting her relationship to Lancelot…maybe?
