So we know that Zelena wants to change the past so Regina was never born. But one of the laws of magic is that you can’t change the past. I don’t remember if the laws of magic was mentioned in OUAT but they were an important part in OUATIW, and there the only way to break the laws of magic was with a spell that required three genies.
Warning: this theory is related to the end of OUATIW, so if you didn’t see it but plan to watch it someday you probably shouldn’t continue reading.
So basicly my theory is this: after Zelena gets all the ingredients to her spell she tries to do it but it doesn’t work. We then find out that it was Rumple that told her about this spell while she controlled him, but he found a loophole (something like “you asked for a way to change the past but you didn’t ask for a way that actually works dearie”). So Zelena finds the real way to change the laws of magic- the one with the three genies. When she begins to search for genies she finds a genie that tells her that he already did the spell that she wants to do but he was tricked to become a genie. But he will still have that power from the spell when he is released and all she has to do is to make a wish to release him and he will change the past for her in return. Zelena believes him (she is crazy and a bit stupid) and makes a wish, and gets trapped in the bottle instead of the genie. Than Jafar laughs and says something like “she’s really stupid if she bought that”. That way Zelena is defeated and we have a new villain for season 4! Also, when the Charmings will find out about Jafar, I believe they will have no choice but to ask for the help of the white king and queen of Wonderland!
The pictures that show Emma in Fairy Tale Land clothes can be from a dream (they’ve done it before) and I know that the creators said that they aren’t planning to bring any other character but the Knave of Hearts to the show but they can be lying. I just have a feeling that this is going to happen. This is so perfect and it’s a great way to finish Zelena’s story (And Jafar became a genie because he stole magical water. So you can say that the WWW was defeated because of water, just like in the original story) and if Jafar becomes the season 4 villain then it makes sense to bring the Knave of Hearts to the show.
So what do you think?
[adrotate group="5"]You know what I can't continue with the dead people brought back to life list I'm out of space in the signature and now we have an underworld arc this is to much I quit why do you bring so many people back to life OUAT WHHHYYYY
April 15, 2014 at 11:19 am #261609RumplesGirlKeymasterThere is pretty much no doubt in my mind that they’ll find someway to bring in Jafar as the Big Bad. They’ve said that it’s just the Knave coming over “for now” but to me that just means “Jafar is coming.” They could have killed him at the end of WL but they didn’t–they deliberately made him a genie (keeping with Disney) and then POOFed him somewhere–but didn’t tell us where. They left it open.
Zelena and Jafar’s plans are too similar for there not to be some sort of crossover. So yea, you may be very right.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"April 16, 2014 at 1:55 am #261761PheeParticipantInteresting theory, and I do think they’ll bring in Jafar as S4 villain somehow.
But I think Zelena’s curse WILL work, because i’ve just been thinking of what she’s going as a variation in technique on what Jafar and Amara did. Zelena needs courage, a brain and a heart. Cyrus (and Will) had courage/bravado, his older brother seemed to be a thinker, and his younger brother seemed to be a sweetheart. Same 3 ingredients, just in different vessels to the ones Zelena is collecting. On WL it just so happened that the 3 ingredients existed in the form of Amara’s sons, and her purpose was to be able to reunite her family, so she could conveniently reunite them and use their reunion as a way to cast the spell to free them because she had courage, brain and heart from each of them.
April 16, 2014 at 2:44 pm #261879TheWatcherParticipantThis theory sounds really plausible, especially when you consider Rumpel. Jafar needed TWO sorcerers to complete the spell. Zelena had Rump resurrected so that she could have her other sorcerer to complete the spell. And plus she doesn’t have to worry about him bailing on her and leaving her unable to complete the spell… She controls him!! 😀 I’m 100% positive her spell will work but I am dissappointed this is basically a rehash of WL

Jafar and Amara needed 3 genies and each other in order to cast the spell, Zelena is using three ingredients; heart, courage, brains (possibly 4 with the baby?), and is possibly going to use Rumple as the second sorcerer.
In other words I don’t think the spell calls for specific ingredients, just three powerful ingredients. As long as there is three powerful ingredients and two sorcerers to cast it, then the spell should work. Jafar only used the three genies because Amara told him that that was how the spell worked, and Amara had her own reasons for wanting the genies.
"so there’s this new show….."
"there’s lesbians in it"April 22, 2014 at 8:54 pm #263197UrsulaParticipantOoh I like the idea of the spell’s ingredients of a heart, brain and courage being within the three genies! The fact that the spell couldn’t be cast while Will was missing his heart points towards it too.
