First let me say that I am sorry if this is already a topic , there are so many of them now that I couldn’t scan through them all to verify beforehand. Also it is quite possible that this should have gone in the “okay, I’m callin’ it” or the August W Booth forums so my apologies..Now that that is done and out of the way …
We know that August absolutely has to be someone from FTL because of Regina’s statement when she first saw him “he looks familiar”. (Pretty sure every little detail in OUAT means something) Now since Regina has all of her memories I would think that she would recognize August when she first ran into him and know exactly who he is/was; that is IF he was an adult when she met him in FTL. But since I think August is Peter Pan, it makes perfect sense because he was just a kid!
The writers told us to pay attention to what August was saying in the dinner while talking to Ruby. I don’t think they wanted us to pay attention to the lemurs, but rather to the fact that August has been to so many different places that he can’t keep his facts straight. I think this is directly related to Peter pan, who used to travel outside of Neverland on a regular basis. Actually I think the fact the Peter would go out on adventures and sometime he would come back and tell everyone about them while other times he would be so tired he wouldn’t say a thing about it, was addressed in one of the Peter Pan books.
Now that I am convinced that August is Peter I am almost just as confident that he is the local 7 year old boy that found Emma. Perhaps the EQ tricked him, much like she did the mad hatter, and left him in the real world.
One thing that we also know about Peter is that he used to play with mermaids, could Ariel(the mermaid that Regina needed Rumples help locating) be from Neverland? This could also be one of the reasons August talks about the magical properties of water, as he know all about it from the mermaids.
Also wondering if Bae is/was one of his Lost Boys.
Lastly, while I was discussing my theory with one of my employees she mentioned this to me :http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0047248/ while there is a possibility that it is not correct, I think it is, and furthermore conforming my August is Peter revolt! LOL
I hope everyone can follow along I had so many thought rambling through my head while I was typing this.
[adrotate group="5"]March 27, 2012 at 7:41 pm #140025SnickerdoodleParticipantTast_E_Cakes I am with you. Already called it on the “Okay, I’m calling it thread”:)
Peter traveled to hear stories as well as have adventures. You could say he collected stories.
It is an interesting idea that perhaps he got left in Neverland. For a time I have thought that he could also be Bae. That the fairies hid him in Neverland from Rumpel but he was allowed to visit other places/worlds and kind of became a traveler, a collector of stories if you will. Rumpel likes collecting too.
I admit though that if he knows what’s true why would he go by August Wayne Booth? Why would Bae have changed his name to Peter Pan, or perhaps the fairies gave him that name, or maybe like you propose he is a lost boy. Hmm! I’ve sort of dropped the crossover theory idea. But I still like the August is Peter Pan idea regardless or whether or not he is crossed with another character.
