Those hypnotizing moments

One thing I love about OuaT is those moments that just make you gasp with excitement or swoon or awww. I love stories that make me feel that way- when I seek out the clips of a particular incident and watch them literally over and over. At the end of last season, it was the moment the curse broke. At the beginning of this season, it was watching Emma, Snow, and Charming come together as a family for the first time. And in “The Outsider,” it was the moment Belle got shot over the border. A lot of the other Rumbelle fans are sad, but I think this is an alluring development. I’ll bet he is going to have to win her love all over again in order to get her memories back, and his heartbreak when he says, “What you’ve done cannot be undone!” was just so crushing.

As a kid, amnesia was one of my favorite tv show ailments- I even incorporated it into my own fanfiction. I’m really excited to find out who Belle thought she was when she was in the asylum. I wonder what false memories the curse gave her.

Most of all, I love stories that are about the power of true love- like when Hercules and Megara sacrifice their lives for each other in the Disney version, and their love allows them to stay together. This is probably why Beauty and the Beast is my favorite Disney movie….love breaking a curse and awakening a new sense of awareness.

Skin Deep still remains my favorite OuaT ep- it’s the first time we saw a human side to Rumple. And of course, it doesn’t hurt that Belle has always been a favorite of mine.

For me it has to be The Return. That scene between AWB and Gold, when Gold thought he was his son, was so intense. I’m not sure anything else will ever match up to that for me.

I love the little extra’s that they throw in as well. Like you AngieBelle, I loved Skin Deep. Have to say though, when I saw Nurse Ratched in the hospital basement along with Chief Bromden, portrayed as the custodian, I howled with laughter! Love it!

Last episode had to be Gold with his line “He has to die Belle!”. Everything from tone, expression and body language just played into that so well. Again, sitting in front of the tube howling with laughter.

I could watch this series for decades if they kept up with the writing and momentum. Will be said when it’s had it’s run.

Ouat is very good at creating those moments, people find different shock moments in each episode.

One of my shock moments was in “In the name of the brother” when Belle broke the chipped cup.
I remember thinking Rumpelstiltskin kept that to keep her memory alive for over 28 years and she broke it in under 28 seconds. Even when he was at his angriest he had ever been at her,(Skin Deep), he couldn’t bring himself to break it.

There have been other moments but this episode is still fresh in my mind.

That was great, and speaking of August, I LOVE the scene in The Stranger when he goes to Marco’s workshop. Wrenches my heart every which way every freaking time.

That line delivery was perfection! Another of my fave moments from that ep was when Hook was telling Belle about Milah, and he was all up in her face, the tone of his voice, the way he maneuvered the gun, I had to hold my breath.

30). August showing his leg to Emma, who then admits that she doesn’t want anyone to need her.

32). Mary Margaret scolding Emma for leaving with Henry.
33). Snow White willingly eat the poisoned apple.
34). Regina’s nightmare.
35). Regina gloating in Rumpelstiltskin face that she managed to poison Emma.
36). Emma willing to leave town for Henry.
37). Henry eating the poisoned apple.
38). Everything in A Land Without Magic. 🙂
