THR 12/18 – August Returning

We really need to see more of The Dragon from that episode. I really hate it when they throw in some random plot devicey character and never flesh them out.

Much as it would be lovely to get an explanation about who The Dragon was, I wouldn’t hold my breath for it. The general audience would have forgotten he even existed, so bringing him up again would be really random for the majority of the audience. Also, I’m pretty sure they want everyone to forget about Tamara and her taser, considering they’ve admitted that the taser was kind of a stupid idea, and bringing up The Dragon again would be a bit too close to reminding people of that plot device mistake.

I think they should bring up the dragon again. I doubt August will be involved in that, but they should. The fact that there is no magic in our world is pretty important and then they go and show there is someone here who is extremely powerful using magic. If we get no explanation of that, I’d be miffed. I like to think A&E really do have a story with details and that the dragon, like I hope is the same with Black Fairy, is just introducing something that will be important later on. For all we know, The Dragon is Maleficent’s father/brother/lover or whatever.

I just refuse to believe they should threw in some random flying dragon guy for no other reason than to just have him be killed.

I think that it’s reasonable, given that Rumple found Ursula outside of Storybrooke, to believe that The Dragon will come back into play somehow. He was the first hint we had that magic had crept into The Land Without Magic beyond Storybrooke’s invasion. All we really know about him though is that he had magic and a link to another realm somehow…and that he knew who August was.

But with Ursula in this realm outside of Storybrooke, there’s good reason to think that SOMETHING is going on. The Home Office front that Pan was using to find Henry did seem to be sussing out magic in other places…it would be kinda cool if they connect all these dots they’ve laid out.

I don’t completely trust A&E to do that…but sometimes they do lovely things like that.

What if the Dragon was KING TRITON :O Merpeoplexam travel lands. Triton had magic… And appatntly Ursula made it so that mrrs can turn human and she takes on human appearencee. Maybe he does too…

I too would be very upset if the entire plot with the Home Office and the mysterious dragon was completely never brought up again. With all the talk Tamara and Greg did when they were talking to Regina about how “Magic has been doing its damage for a long time” and such it would be a shame to just drop it all that.

If that plot continues I think it would be amazing if we found out our world used to have magic but became a world without after some group got rid of it.

I originally said if such an organization had been started long ago it could have been started by Wendy Darling or by Dorothy…but they have kind of screwed up that with their plots they’ve done with those characters. 🙁
