Once Upon a Time will deliver a heavy case of déjà vu during Sunday’s season-five finale.
After Robin Hood and Hades’ deaths in the penultimate episode of the season, co-creators Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis told The Hollywood Reporter that Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Prince Charming (Josh Dallas) will “find themselves in an old situation in a new place,” and that theme will continue throughout the two-hour finale and into season six.
“We’re doing something different than the finales we’ve done in the last few years. We’re not doing any alternate reality sort of story, whether it’s going into the [fairytale] book or time travel,” Horowitz explains. “The story of the finale in the season wraps up within the two hours, but it also opens up doors and sets the table for what season six will be.”
