Tonight we met Tiger Lily and learned that she used to be a fairy. Furthermore, she apparently has quite a past with the Black Fairy and feels responsible for not stopping the Black Fairy when she could have. What do you think their history is?
[adrotate group="5"]"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"Well I hope this means that Tigerlily is really old because if she knew BF before she was bad (not really sure) and BF is the originator of all (or most) dark magic, then the two of them should be two pretty old fairies and I guess losing your wings doesn’t make you human exactly since Tigerlily and Tink are still young… but then again Neverland. But was Neverland even a place x-fairies could flee to before Pan woke the place up (or whatever he did)?
I do hope whatever history they have between them isn’t as ridicules as The Dark Ones only being what was it 500 years old? even though there were at least a dozen or more Dark Ones throughout time and two hundred or so of those years were all Rumple.
I guess what I want to see is that Black Fairy is at least 1,000, heck 5,000 years old and she was a good fairy once, but she wanted to rule the world or something and Blue cast her out of fairyland and Black Fairy used some weird forbidden fairy secret to create dark fairy dust and from there she basically started creating all the dark magic we know today and they can have a sequence of quick flashbacks showing that BF is the real power behind every bad thing our ‘heroes’ have ever faced.
Also could they please tell us how she met Malcolm. There has to be some kind of story behind that.
Sooooo. I agree that it would have been 100% more effective to have introduced Tiger Lily much earlier on.
As for their history, who knows. That’s the thing with OUAT; I can’t properly guess anything anymore. They were probably friends and when Black fell in love with Malcolm, Tiger lily went and told Blue and that got Black banished. Or y’know some other thing that we can’t really predict.

The idea of BF losing her wings because she fell in love with a human and had a child makes perfect sense given what we know about Blue Fairy, but what exactly did they say about Black Fairy being the original evil or am I just confused about what they actually said about her.

Yup. You’re right. Even tonight she said that she basically invented Dark Magic. But it wouldn’t be the first time the writers forgot what they wrote a few episodes before. And it’s still unclear if she was born evil or turned evil. And if she turned evil because of Malcolm then that’s quite a bit after Merlin and the Dark One/Nimue incident, which is–lol–“dark”!
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"I actually didn’t catch that she used to be a fairy….. Wow. Okay. See this is why I need to rewatch immediately. So I’m guessing she got banished to NVL like Tink and lost her wings? Maybe NVL is like ex-fairy prison.
But yeah, I was bored with her character, personally. Not a good first impression.
EDIT: Okay so she used to be friends with the black fairy, but couldn’t prevent her from becoming evil. Okaaay then.

The scene where TL revealed she was a former fairy came right after the Black Fairy said to Snow, “No one should have to watch their child die” or something like that. I don’t know how it would work, but that was the first thing I thought when watching it.
Honestly at this point I don’t want Tiger Lily to appear again or have any significance in the story. Trying to explain her story is just going to turn into another Aladdin/Jasmine/Jafar storyline. I rather have Blue than Tiger Lily.

Yes agree. It really does feel like so many of the B-plots this year (Aladdin/Jasmine/Jafar; Tiger Lily; Charming’s father, ect) were ideas the writers have had for future seasons but now that the writing is on the wall in terms of longevity they are doing everything at once. Like a bucket list. But it makes the show so scattered and haphazard.

That line stood out to me to. Which is weird considering Rumpel isn’t dead. Unless she left him in order to save his life or something. There has to be more to that line but I doubt it’s that Tiger Lily is Rumps sister. Like please god no.
