So, Mulan let us know that time was frozen in FTL for 28 years thanks to Regina and the dark curse. It seems like Aurora thought it’d only been a year. Does that mean she fell under the sleeping curse a year before the dark curse was unleashed and she’s been sleeping for 29 years total? That’s the only way I could see how the Sleeping Beauty fits the time-line.
Also, how did everyone in the remanent of FTL survive? I’m thinking of Phillip and Mulan specifically. Did they also fall into a deep sleep?

It’s not clear if their memories were altered or what. It’s also not clear how that little part of FTL was saved. (My two theories – Regina intentionally saved that portion when enacting her curse, just in case she needed to return. OR – that is what the fairies did when “preparing” for the curse.)
Anyways yes, you’re correct. Aurora was sleeping for 28 years, plus the time after Emma arrived in Storybrook and got time moving forward again. (How long was Emma in Storybrooke? Months maybe?)
There is a lot in this episode; I’ll have to re-watch it over and over again and ponder what happened.

She was there for a year I think, don’t know how it fits the timeline as far as what Regina mentioned to Maleficent about Sleeping Beauty getting the best of her maybe a continuity error but we’ll see. Looks like Emma is gonna have plenty of time to bond with her mom while Henry is gonna get to know his grandfather better.

Then they realized what happened and began aging again and Phillip and Mulan could begin searching for Aurora.

Does that mean that they weren’t touched by the curse at all and that time just froze? or that they were aware of all of the events happening. Also, the timeline seems to be very off from Storybrooke’s timeline. When the wraith was released into fairy tail land, was when the sent it into the hat in Storybrooke.

Maybe… or maybe there’s more than one wraith. 😮

Good theory, but it’s only one medallion, or is it? Has anyone had a chance to look back and see if it’s the same medallion? But if it’s just one medallion, than that would lead me to believe that the medallion was the “lamp” so to say, of the wraith and one one was trapped in it. After it got the soul of the marked, it would just return to it’s medallion.

I’m fairly sure the medallions were identical, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that they’re the same. It could be like every wraith has one of the medallions and there are several of them, all with the same symbol. I like the idea that it’s like the genie’s lamp. Maybe if you control the medallion you control the wraith? Unless you’re marked of course…

That would explain Mulan’s love for Phillip. Perhaps they were a couple in their cursed and “frozen” state. I’m looking forward to seeing their safe haven. Maybe we’ll see Captain Hook there.
I still wonder how they knew how much time has passed. Someone must have been aware, like Regina/Gold/Jefferson. Did Jefferson find his way back? There are plenty of other magical characters that perhaps could have remembered and felt the passing of time. Tinkerbell perhaps?
October 1, 2012 at 3:57 am #154802dorothyParticipantI’m more interested in finding out why a piece of FTL was left untouched. Was it because the curse only affected specifically the people Regina held a grudge against, or was it a screw up on Rumple’s part?
