So reports are coming out that Henry, yes 10 year old Henry, has been filming scenes set in 1983. I really hope this doesn’t mean more time travel. Like the shows timeline wasn’t confusing enough already!
The apple from the hat and probably Bae through the bean hole were enough I think. Time travel just gets too messy and confusing. 😯
[adrotate group="5"]I ship Regina Mills with Happiness!
January 30, 2013 at 11:08 pm #170934obisgirlParticipantI don’t think it’s time travel. I think the episode will be a flashback. Time travel on shows can get messy.
January 31, 2013 at 12:05 am #170955MyrilParticipantDon’t think they would do time travel. With flashbacks and jumping between realms it’s hard enough to keep track for many. Okay, these guys wrote for Lost, and I heard rumours, that a few from the audience are still missing and lost in time. So one should never be sure. 😉
(I’m joking)Would be careful with conclusions. Vancity Filming is a good source, but not someone working on the set. Can’t be sure what scene was filmed, in which time it was set. The differences between 1983 scene and present Storybrooke could be sometimes very subtle, so for outsiders not to tell.
¯\_(?????? ?)_/¯

So true…if they were stuck in time for 28 years I doubt the town would change much at all…this might simply be an indication that they are going to show when the curse first took place through Henry’s adoption to when MM first gave him the book and he discovered the truth.

Either Regina got Henry back in present-day SB or it could be a SB flashback. Yet at the rate Jared Gilmore is growing, it will be hard to pull off a SB flashback in which Henry looks younger than he did in the pilot. My money is on a current-day situation in which Regina and Cora use magic to get Henry back."That’s how you know you’ve really got a home. When you leave it, there’s this feeling that you can’t shake. You just miss it." Neal Cassidy

This! Unless they overheard some dialogue that specifically states the scene being shot is in ’83, they’re just guessing. And I gather that people who are hanging around to watch filming are kept far enough away so as not to interfere when stuff is being shot, so unless the actors are talking very loudly, it’s unlikely that anything of the sort was overheard.

Maybe that’s why they timed it to have this ep now. Get the pre-Emma Henry footage in the can before the kid has a growth spurt and it becomes impossible.

All spoilers need to be TAKEN WITH A GRAIN OF SALT. I think they are released to tantalize but also to confuse and mislead us so when we see the episode we are astounded by what the writers and producers come up with.
January 31, 2013 at 3:09 pm #171054obisgirlParticipantExactly Nonnie. 😀
January 31, 2013 at 3:45 pm #171058SlurpeezParticipantThere’s another spoiler that there will be flashbacks with a kid who is presumed to be a younger-looking Henry! So, we will quite likely get to see Regina and a young Henry interact before Emma arrived in SB! 😮
I don’t think we’ll see time travel in this episode. Rather, we could get to see various ‘glimpses’ of SB at different time intervals: when the curse first brought everyone there, when Regina adopted Henry, a few years later as Henry was growing up before Emma arrived, and of course, present-day, post-curse SB.

But if they then skip ahead to when he was born and adopted, then skip ahead again to when he was 5ish, then skip ahead again to when he was 10-ish and got the book. That’d show us how Regina and Henry’s relationship evolved, and that’s something I’ve been hoping we’d get to see.
