I’m pulling this out of several of the new threads that popped up overnight after the finale. I posted a snippet in the “Peter Pan is Home Office” thread, but wanted to expand on it here. It may come out as pretty jumbled here. Not all of these theories are mine. Some are borrowed, but I came up with much of this on my own.
1. Tinkerbell is a fairy. We know this much. Blue Fairy is a fairy. Blue Fairy appears to be a “stickler” for rules, i.e. quashing Nova and Dreamy. Perhaps Tink was a rebel.
2. I think Tink pushed her boundaries too far and Blue Fairy used a bean to send Tink away to Neverland. Then Think, ticked off at Blue, created the Dark One curse to exact her revenge since as a fairy she cannot directly do evil. Hence why it doesn’t belong in FTL – it was created in Neverland.
3. Tink stumbles upon and befriends Peter Pan in Neverland as the classic mischievous little boy we all know from the original tale. Not innocent by any means, but more naive.
4. Peter decides he wants to go home and grow up and be a normal boy again. This could be after hundreds of years. Feeling abandoned, Tink casts the Dark One curse on Peter, turning him into a Shadow Wraith version of his former self, essentially “killing” Peter Pan and creating the “Pan” which is the Shadow Wraith.
5. Tink wants a new play mate, one that will be so jaded by loss that he will never want to leave her. So she tasks “Pan” with finding Henry and tells him that he can have any boys that aren’t Henry. Since Pan is a wraith-shadow, he rips the shadow off the boys to be his “friends” and leaves the “leftover” boys as the Lost Boys.
6. The Lost Boys become Pan’s minions, doing his bidding for him and procuring any runaway boys. Pan himself goes in search of Henry to appease Tink because she controls him. Perhaps the true “Pan” is Tink herself, but the Lost Boys have only seen the shadow. Or maybe she didn’t “kill” Peter and he is one of the Lost Boys, maybe even Felix. However, he is under her control because she controls his shadow through the Dark One curse.
7. At some point, the Dark One curse makes it way to FTL. Maybe Tink sent it over as her ultimate revenge on Blue – to put the darkest magic possible into FTL to destroy good magic.
8. As far as the Seer, I don’t think Henry is the boy of the prophecy. Henry led Rumple to his son ONCE, but it wasn’t a permanent reunion. I think Felix is the boy of the prophecy, the shadow-less Peter. Because I think the shadow-wraith will be more powerful than Rumple’s Dark One and Tink will use the shadow to be the “undoing” of Rumple’s Dark One since she created the curse. She will essentially free him of the curse after Felix brings him to her under the guise of finding Bae, which leads to the next point.
9. I like someone else’s theory of Neverland being Netherland mispronounced/altered due to the Dark One’s curse. We’ve only seen 2 rooms essentially of the Nether with Aurora/Henry/Snow due to the sleeping curse’s effects.
10. Perhaps Map/Neal are in another part of Netherland because Mulan/Aurora had to barter with Tink to get Philip’s soul back since it was taken by the Wraith. Perhaps the soul is a stand-in in other worlds for the shadow in Netherland. Perhaps Bae is the “price” of the magic to return Philip’s soul and MAP must hand Bae over to Felix yet again since we know he somehow “escaped.”
11. Perhaps Rumple knows something about Pan because they are both products of the Dark one curse. Essentially, chasing Henry leads him to Felix (as Pan’s apparent second-in-command) and Felix actually somehow leads Rumple to Bae. Since Felix is in a way Pan and Pan will destroy the Dark One part of Rumple, the boy has been his undoing. Technically, with this theory, both Henry and Felix fulfill the prophecy.
12. I blame the mermaids for the Dark One curse being in FTL. I don’t know why, but it’s just a feeling. Maybe the dagger is really the key to it all. Maybe Tink used the Dark One dagger to separate Pan from Peter and the mermaids stole it and sent it to FTL to stop her, but Pan is able to do the separation without a dagger. Hence why Pan’s victims aren’t cursed, just separated. Now I know this has been super long and way out there in right field with its eccentric ideas, but the crazier we go, the more likely we are to figure it out.

I’m going to think long and hard about this before I return but my initial reaction is 😯
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"May 13, 2013 at 4:54 pm #193869thebassgalParticipantAnd I see now that a lot of you are thinking in the direction I am. After I posted, I went back and read the other threads and some of these ideas have popped up there too. Shame on me for taking so long to write it, LOL.
Those theories don’t necessarily ALL go together, it could be some, all or none of them as I know 4 and 5 kinda contradict each other a little. I think Peter is still alive and is Felix, his shadow is Pan.

I still like the idea of Maleficent being involved, especially now that we know her and Hook know each other.
May 13, 2013 at 5:04 pm #193879thebassgalParticipantMaybe Maleficent is the way the dagger found its way to FTL. Maybe she cursed the mermaids and stole the dagger from them after they stole it from Tink. Hence Ariel could come into play here. Maybe Maleficent is also Ursula? She wanted the dagger, so she tricked Ariel into giving her the dagger and she cursed those “poor unfortunate souls”.
May 13, 2013 at 6:54 pm #193922thebassgalParticipantDid they say exactly how the mermaids were cursed?

I don’t know if the mermaids are cursed or if they are a curse. Hook said he saved Bae from the curse of the mermaids, and to me this was a reference to the legend that mermaids are not good people but will drag sailors down to the depths to their death.

So then maybe the Siren in FTL/Lake Nostos is the equivalent of mermaids in Neverland. Could still tie-in to Maleficent being Ursula and creating the mermaids whilst in Neverland. Maybe she travelled there to confront Pan and/or try to steal the Pan. Maybe she recruited a young girl named Ariel to help her steal the Pan, but Ariel failed so Maleficent turned Ariel and her people into merpeople.
