Something is wrong with me because Tinker-momma is creeping up on me.
I give you, Screwball Ninja’s Tinker Momma essay…
http://screwballninja.tumblr.com/post/64411953254/tinkerbell-is-related-to-whom-rampant
It includes a summary of the version of Beauty and the Beast where Belle is half fairy, (and a link to the whole story, which I haven’t read yet), and even character comparisons between Tink and Belle/Lacey, and God help me I know it’s still crack, but I can’t help but think that it kinda sorta makes perfect sense.[adrotate group="5"]October 19, 2013 at 8:13 am #217073kfchimeraParticipantIt is good crack, that. I read her essay and really hope that’s where they’re going with it, if they don’t go with the laugh thing.
Question is: weren’t we supposed to learn the origin of fairies? Are they ordinary people or creatures right from the start?
I like it even better if Tinkerbelle just left baby Belle with Mo, who was the lord of the town, so that’s why there’s bee no mention of her mother.

There are so many questions about fairies right now….I really hope we get some origin story.

I’m open to it.

I feel they ought to get back to her relationship with her father, mention something about her mother, and get into why it was important for her to be a hero. What made Belle so sure? Belle is so disconnected from the current story, and if they did plan to tie her to Tinkerbell that would be one way to make up for it.
I know from spoilers That some exciting Ariel storyline is ahead for Belle, but that’s also about Ariel, who she is, and her story and again, it is not developing Belle backstory, though present day development is I guess more important, just want some pre-Rumple day Belle.“If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. October 19, 2013 at 10:21 am #217120RumplesGirlKeymasterI sadly agree with KFC. At the moment it does feel like “develop Belle” = “Develop people around Belle”
I’m trying to be patient with it though. It would help if they told me exactly what was happening with the conscience thing back in SB on Belle’s part. If it is somehow really her.
And yes I’d love to see her backstory. At least learn what happened to her mother, even if it’s not Tinkermomma.

It’s one of those absurd theories that you immediately discount and think is ridiculous but then it creeps up on you, despite knowing it will never in a million years happen.
I think it would be hilarious just to see Rumple discover his true love is half-fairy. 😛

This is why I can’t completely discount it as a possibility. They’ve made such a point of how much he hates Fairies, it would actually be a cool twist to reveal that his true love is half Fairy.
October 19, 2013 at 1:27 pm #217149RumplesGirlKeymasterI just read Screwball’s essay.
First…fairy tales are wacky.
Second…omg this is totally gonna happen.
Third if CaptainFairy happens then that means Belle’s step father is Hook and Rumple’s father in law is Hook. And FAMILY TREE CUT AND PASTE TIME

I wasn’t a fan of Tinker-momma in the beginning at all, but I’m totally on board now. Even if it is only cracky stuff.
And you just know at the root of all the this the Blue Fairy is standing there like Dr. Evil.

Because I can’t resist some Sneaky Fairy crack…she actually set up Belle’s part fairyness, and her ending up with Rumple, because even though Blue was using Rumple as a pawn in the grand, “restore magic to all the worlds” scheme, she wanted him to turn out OK in the end, so Belle had to be who, what and where she was in order for her to end up with him. Which means that Blue sneakily set Tink up with Mo, and then chastised Tink for having been with Mo, just to cover her own arse. (I’m only half joking. :-P)
