I don’t think this is true Belle’s Dad and Tinkerbell but that is just my opinion.
[adrotate group="5"]July 25, 2013 at 11:04 pm #202067kfchimeraParticipantWell I had the same reaction to Belle’s dad and Tink….ewwww. Then I said she could have been adopted by Mo, but again–oh no, bad adopted parents in the story, so much as I loved the idea of TinkerBelle (sniff….dead idea) or even Tink, Belle’s mom, I am doubtful either is the case. First laugh creation is still there though.
The dark fairy dust was never explained, so that could be a connection to Snow I suppose.
Oh, just because JMO says Hook and Regina know about NL–it is not for sure, that anyone but Hook and Bae have been there before out of our main crew. Regina could know of it and clearly Rumpel did too, but I’m not sure the actress was saying they had as much as her character Emma is once again out of the loop compared to the others.

Original tale, Beauty’s real mother was fairy.
I’ve been thinking that the theories about Tink being Belle’s mother were really random. But if there’s potential basis for it in the original tale, perhaps the idea can’t be written off so easily…hmmmm.

It totally screws up my shiny, new, revised version of Hookriel headcanon if Regina actually went to NL. But I thought perhaps JMo was commenting on something in the scripts for the first couple of eps where they all discover that Regina has been there before.

…doesn’t look like a match to me.That being said, the actress is a Kiwi, so she may be able to sound like Emilie without too much hassle.
Have changed my mind approx 50 times in the past hour as to whether or not I wanna subscribe to this theory.
Seeing stuff like this makes me think that this theory would be a perfect thing…
Barrie describes Tink as a fairy who mended kettles. As in tea pots.
What a clever little parallel it would be, for a fairy who mended tea pots to have a daughter with a habit of chipping/breaking tea cups.

I like the idea if they go with fairies being created by a first laugh of a baby, that the baby was Belle. How old is Belle supposed to be? (Aside from the frozen time I mean? Her pre-curse age?).
Let’s say she was 30 something when the curse was cast, would it work for Tink (popping out full grown in NL like the Dwarves do from eggs) to be the one to free Bae at some point? The timing could work there, perhaps as a “new ” fairy in NL (one not around for centuries, just Belle’s lifetime), Tink felt sympathy and did something or did something clumsy?
Bae’s release can’t have been at the moment or before the curse was cast. He seems like he escaped halfway through it or something. Hook left before. That is a big mystery.
Perhaps Tink is the last fairy born in NL and BF is the first.

The timing could work. But would the characterisation of Tink feeling sympathy fit for her? I sorta see her as selfish and confident, not like the shy, friendly, new girl.
Perhaps Tink is the last fairy born in NL and BF is the first.
That could be fun!
The MamaTink theory is starting to grow on me though…
I’m imagining a situation where Tinker Bell wanted to be with Maurice, but it wasn’t allowed. But headstrong girl that she is, she went ahead and did it anyway, (so they can show a contrast to when Nova didn’t end up with Dreamy), and in human form, she just called herself Belle, (Maurice may not have even been aware she was a fairy). To try and get Blue to back off and stop trying to break them up, they got married and Tink got pregnant, (not necessarily in that order). But Blue was still having none of it and said that as soon as the baby was born, Tink was being banished to another world, (NL), for breaking the rules. So the baby is born, “Belle” vanishes, and Maurice names the baby after her.
Flashforward to Belle giving Dreamy advice about going for it with his forbidden love, being completely unaware that she grew up without a mother because of her parents having been in this exact same situation. Would tie things together quite nicely, and ironically.

The Disney site describes her as Sassy, feisty, fun loving. “Tink acts on her emotions and does not look before she leaps”.
OUAT might take her back to Barrie’s version, or the PP movie, but she does drink poison for peter in the play, so she is not selfish entirely. She just was jealous of Wendy.

I like it, especially the part about the irony of Belle encouraging a dwarf to love a fairy. I hadn’t even thought of that! Plus, those side-by-side photos of Rose and Emilie show a striking resemblance. They certainly look related in my opinion.

July 26, 2013 at 9:16 am #202091RumplesGirlKeymasterMy only problem with the MamaTink theory Phee is suggesting is that it makes her too nice. The casting call made it seem like A and E are sticking fairy close to Barrie on this one.

I understand that critique. My only reply is that possibly Tink became a bit nasty after the BF banished her to NL (assuming that is how it happened). Before he was called Grumpy, he was called Dreamy. It could be that the loss of true love and her daughter provoked Tink to be the way she is (kind of how Regina turned on Snow).
