I’m not entirely sure that this title card is for episode 17, but it seems to fit since the clock tower is significant on the show.

March 3, 2013 at 5:41 pm #176391code1125ParticipantI’m pretty sure it’s for 2×15 “The Queen Is Dead”. As seen in the promo, the face-off between Snowing and Cora & Regina is in the clock tower, so that’s why it would be in the title card.

BUT parallel! Young Owen crashes into newly formed town just like adult Greg crashes into the town!

March 10, 2013 at 12:53 pm #178660RumplesGirlKeymasterIf the curse put up a sort of barrier between the real world and SB, a car driving down the road would suddenly find itself unable to continue forward. At least that’s my assumption. So maybe Ben/Ownen (Greg)/and mother happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time and the Curse’s first victim was actually Owen’ mom.
AND since we know this episode is about Regina’s decision to adopt: killing a mother and leaving a child motherless would resonate pretty loudly with her, wouldn’t it? Right before the curse she’s under the impression she’s sentenced her own mother to death and she killed her own father. This could be how she thinks she can atone, adopting a baby.

Why should the car crash has something to do with adopting a child almost 2 decades later. I mean Regina always wanted to adopt a child. Even in the enchanted forest she wanted Hansel and Gretel, but they refused, because they loved their dad and know that she was evil (how many children were already killed by this task?). So she seperated them and give the children a harsh live until Emma comes, but Regina wanted to be a mum before the curse.
Maybe this was always her dream. A simple live with Daniel, children and nobody who say what she has to do or not to do. So when he was dead maybe she wanted to get her wish half complete to have a family on her own and she can do what she wanted to do. Magic never was so important for Regina. It was alone to helpher to get free from her mother or her not choosen live and trying to get Daniel back. Cause if mgic was so importand she would never cast the curse and loose it willingtly.

Good point. And you’re right, it does take place the first week of the curse, but somehow this episode relates how Regina decides to adopt Henry, whether that’s 18 yrs later or within the first week and then it took a long time. And the title card seems to suggest that someone from the Outside crashed into SB. Has Regina had any interaction with Greg, has she been made aware of what happened with him? I don’t think she has, cause she’s been so wrapped up in what’s going on with Cora. I think Greg’s been trying to find a way back to SB for a long time.
