I could see it being a partial truth, but I’m starting to get a bit of a headcanon that won’t quit, and I do think it’s likely that their father left them. Like I said in a previous post, an event like his own father having been seduced away in Killian’s childhood could inform why he made a habit of seducing other men’s wives himself. It’s that classic situation where the victim becomes the perpetrator. So, my tentative headcanon as it currently stands…
That’s a pretty impressive headcanon. We already know mermaids are somewhat vicious and Hook did seems to have a strong reaction to the one that they hauled onto the JR.

We know what happened last time I got myself some headcanon involving Hook and a mermaid, so I’m not willing to bet any cookies on it yet, but my imagination got the better of me (again). 😉

LOL
Well, it is a little bit fishy that Ariel is coming back for this episode so you could be on to something.
(I had to. The hook was obvious)
(I’m just fishing for compliments)
(I’ll be here all night)

😆 Love your work. 😉 (Seriously though, even if Ariel and Hook just share screen time, I’m not even fussed on the context any more, just get them in the same shot so we can screencap it and make believe, and my broken crackshipper heart will be somewhat placated.)

I meant the present, yes. There is still Hook and Bae dynamic to tell since Neal is still alive in the present day, so far as we know. I know a great many people are upset over the lack of CaptainFire interaction that doesn’t come with the triangle of doom.

They don’t appear to be doing anything, is the big problem. 301-304 had Hook mourning Nealfire alongside Emma and we have yet to see them have any sort of meaningful talk about their past together that doesn’t include Emma. It could be massive rug sweeping but I hope not. Those two deserve to be fleshed out together without a girl in the middle.
I think it probably is gonna be a massive rug sweep because they had the perfect opportunity in 3×10 to discuss it and nothing. If they didn’t bother doing it by now I don’t think they ever will do it. I hope I’m wrong but it doesn’t seem likely.
What I’m thinking is that Blackbeard took Hook under his wing and taught him everything he should know on how to rule the seas. Essentially he becomes a father figure to Hook. Likely will parallel in the present with Hook and Henry(based on the fact they were last seen filming together) in episode 16.
Something happens in the past and BB is likely going to be killed since this is a one time guest star and in the present the opposite will happen. Kind of like how Charming almost died but Hook saved him whereas in the past Liam died.
What are Hook/Henry doing who knows, but it’s a good possibility that they’re gonna be the A plot of the episode, however. That’s just my opinion.

The filming of Hook and Henry was 316 and from the first images we have of 317, it appears to end on a cliffhanger of some sort and then pick up with 317. So yeah, I would wager that the Hook storyline is our A plot for 317 (316 goes to Wicked and whatever is happening in town).

Yeah me too, maybe they’re gonna go find the ruby slippers? 😆
So if we’re going with the build up in 16 Blackbeard/Hook will parallel Hook/Henry and Blackbeard will die in the past(since he’s a one episode guest stint) and in the present the opposite happens.
I don’t expect BB will survive the episode. Hook never has a positive past.

LOL I don’t either (but find me one ONCE character that does have a positive past) 🙂

Perhaps Hook had to sell it or get rid of it in order to go and get Emma. Maybe this was one of his sacrifices to get to her that he had to make?
I just remembered what Hook said in Tiny, the Jolly Roger is made from the same enchanted wood as Emma’s wardrobe. So this could have been the only solution that Hook could use in order to get to her, sacrifice the jolly.

Aww well from a certain point of view that would be the death of a series regular lol and one that I could live with 😛
