Also about the mines, the dwarfs weren’t working in them at all. They’re bred for one thing…to be workers who don’t fall in love, but here are seven, or eight if you count Stealthy, who no longer are in the mines.
I can’t recall off the top of my head, but wasn’t the cell that Snow and Grumpy in a mine, too?
No, it wasn’t the cell was in King George Castle
[adrotate group="5"]July 28, 2013 at 6:10 pm #202533HappyEndingsSpectatorDid the dwarves stop in order to go rescue Grumpy and then ended up following Snow because they all became friends??
Snow joined them remember she drank that potion to forget David at the dwarfs house.
July 28, 2013 at 6:11 pm #202534RumplesGirlKeymasterRight.
New thought: they left when Grumpy decided he didn’t want to work there anymore; when he decided to go after Nova again. When he met Snow in jail the story he told was that he stole a diamond for a girl (gotta be Nova).
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"July 28, 2013 at 6:13 pm #202536HappyEndingsSpectatorGrumpy went back to the mines after breaking up with Nova, that is why his name changed and his pick got broken.
July 28, 2013 at 6:18 pm #202538RumplesGirlKeymasterYes, I know. And then something else happened because when he met Snow he told her a whole story that we hadn’t seen in Dreamy.
Grumpy: It’s why I’m stuck in this hole. I had it bad. She was beautiful as a fairy. But I lost her. I was desperate to get her back, so I came up with a plan. I worked at the diamond mines. Traded all my wages to the foreman for a diamond to propose. But I got swindled. It was a stolen rock and I took the blame. I’m no thief, but they think I am. Should’ve known better. But I wasn’t thinking clearly – all cause of love. And now here I am – trapped – with no way out.

Grumpy was not named Dreamy when he met Snow in the cell, yet in his centric episode he breaks up with Nova and returns to work then becomes “Grumpy”. So what we just talked about suggests he somehow got in trouble after that for stealing a diamond for a girl but that wouldn’t make sense as he’d already broken up with her, unless, he got in trouble after that.
In any case, its possible that Blue Fairy ordered the mines closed in order to have a magical enough place to hold Rumpel, but I’m not sure they had mined the last ore and it was closed already. That could be, but I am trying to recall something that backs that idea up to further the idea that FTL had many signs of losing magic.
So far our only clue seems to be Fewer Enchanted Trees. That’s a good clue still, but not as strong as multiple signs like no more ore, no more beans too.

July 28, 2013 at 6:32 pm #202540HappyEndingsSpectatorWhat if that stole rock was the Black Diamond that Regina had? Did anyone notice that Regina picked the diamond back up?
July 28, 2013 at 6:34 pm #202541RumplesGirlKeymasterThe diamond is powerless now. Adam and Eddy have said that. The black diamond seems very rare and special and used for dark magic. The diamonds mined by the dwarves were white and used for good magic.

July 28, 2013 at 9:35 pm #202560kfchimeraParticipantNot existing yet would be a good explanation if BF is not sneaky, just not “all powerful with knowledge of the future”. We only have Morraine saying she is all powerful, so what does a kid in the trenches of a war really know? Isn’t it a plot point that some stories get twisted? Maybe that’s true of BF too–she isn’t all powerful or even that powerful, but her legend at one point made her out to be much more than she is. Except when the plot needs it of course.
