I’m not going to lie, Once Upon a Time fans, Rumpelstiltskin (Robert Carlyle) and Belle (Emilie de Ravin) have a rough road ahead of them this season.
When we last left the Beauty and the Beast fairytale couple, Rumple had handed Storybrooke over to Hyde (Sam Witwer) in exchange for a way to wake Belle from the sleeping curse without true love’s kiss. That’s exactly what Rumple’s mission will be when the season picks up on Sunday — but it won’t be as easy as he thinks to win back his love.
“For her, there’s been a lot of lies from him,” executive producer Eddy Kitsis told TVGuide.com. “There’s been a lot of betrayal of trust. I don’t think that’s an easy thing to get back. Now that there’s a child involved, I think you’re going to see Belle thinking about the baby before her own relationship first. They are definitely in need of couple’s therapy.”
