-“I can’t wait for this week’s Once Upon a Time! Is there anything you can tell us about Mr. Gold’s reunion with his son? — Dakota
NATALIE: The details of how this reunion takes place were actually foretold long ago, as a flashback will reveal — and that’s not a good thing, at least for one series regular. Suffice it to say, do not miss the final 30 seconds of Sunday’s episode.”

    Very exciding!!
When have this been foretold? anyone have an idea ? Maybe in the episode where Bealfire goes through the bean portal. Think I will rewatch that ep. to see. But it could be any episode…

We’ll see the prophecy being told in Manhattan, when Rumple interacts with the Seer.

Why is it that there are so many hiatus’? Is it the shows’ choice to put so many gaps in between episodes or is it because of other factors? I really hope that the upcoming hiatus is the last one.

medchen – Haha Don’t worry, it took me a while to work it all out too. There are so many big things that are going to happen in this episode that it takes a while to get your head around it 🙂

Oh oops, sorry, I forgot about Graham. Although I was never really attached to Graham, I didn’t really care that he died to be honest, but I know that other fans enjoyed his character. However, Rumple is more important to the show and he links in more with other characters than Graham did and there is more to tell about his past and his future with Belle. To me, it’s like killing off Regina or Emma. If Rumple is killed off, then it’s pretty much the end of the show.

Here’s the thing, I was sad about Graham at the time but then as time went on I felt like we didn’t have that much of him to grow too attached to. Which is why I worry about Neal but I don’t think it’ll be Rumple,Emma, Henry, etc they know which ones gone would affect the audience and Graham didn’t.

This upcoming one is because the Oscars are on Sun 24th on ABC.

My concern as well…at first when MRJ said that he could possibly be returning next season if scheduling permitted I thought there was no way they would kill him off since he couldn’t be in flashbacks in FTL since that part is played by another actor but with this August flashback coming up and Neal being in it I see where they could have more our world flashbacks with Neal in them especially if Eion Bailey returns to the show and August and Neal saw each other more than we think.

I have also wondered if the seer at one point (when she was younger) prophesied Baelfire’s death and perhaps that is why Rumple was so intent on keeping him out of the ogre war and then went overboard protecting him once he had magic (to the point of turning someone into a snail and squashing them for a scraped knee). I don’t know it’s just that they said they had plans for Neal and thus far most of his storyline has revolved around his relationship with Emma and now with Rumple…it really hasn’t been about him…which makes me think that like Graham his character was designed for a specific purpose and we all know what happened to Graham.

Also something else makes me wonder if he won’t be around for very long…the writers(if I am recalling right) said that there were people that were not right for you, people you were meant to be with, and people you just choose. I think they said this in reference to Emma’s love life and that she would face all three.

But the one that you just choose…you can’t have someone that you just choose unless that is the person you actually choose. Makes me think that she can’t choose the one she was meant to be with for some reason so she has to choose someone else…which could mean that if Neal is really the one she was meant to be with then he must no longer be in the picture…kind wondering if he may not wind up being another Daniel. lol I hope that makes sense…not fully awake here.

Here’s one of my crazy theories. (Warning: I assume Neal is Bae in the post below. LOL.)

I think the prophecy has something to do with cowardice and the Rumpelstiltskin blood line. Maybe the seer predicted that Rumpelstiltskin would be a coward, just like his father, and that Baelfire would be a coward too.

Maybe that’s why in Desperate Souls, Zoso and Hordor kept questioning Baelfire’s paternity because at 13 he was still strong-willed and brave – and their teasing did seem to have an effect on Rumple.

Zoso: Have you ever wondered – was he really your child at all? Unlike you, he’s not a coward and yearns to fight and die in glory.

    Rumpelstiltskin: No…

Zoso: What a poor bargain that would be – to lay down your soul to save your bastard son.

Hordor: Did you teach him how to run as well, Rumpelstiltskin? Did he tell you? Did he tell you how he ran and the ogres turned the tide of the battle, and all the others were killed, and he returned home to a wife who could not bear the sight of him?

So if the seer’s prophecy has something to do with cowardice or running, then it does predict the reunion between Rumple and Bae. Much to Rumple’s dismay, Baelfire runs away from him.

NATALIE: The details of how this reunion takes place were actually foretold long ago, as a flashback will reveal — and that’s not a good thing, at least for one series regular.

As for the last 30 seconds…

There are hints floating around right now that “predicting the future” is not as accurate as one might expect it to be.

Ausiello: What it means is that a seer shares with Rumplestiltskin a warning about his fate… but neglects to include some extremely pertinent details. What follows is a painful, painful* lesson in, “Always ask follow-up questions!”

Once Upon a Time Season 2 Spoilers: 10 Things to Know About “Manhattan”: Some powers aren’t all they’re cracked up to be.

To me, it seems like something tragic happens as a result of Rumple believing the prophecy the first time.

Now I don’t know have any proof for this…but maybe the last 30 seconds reveals a reversal of the prophecy? Something along the lines of: X, Y, and Z are predicted to happen…BUT maybe if someone acts unexpectedly, they can change the future? Maybe Emma brings out the courage in Bae to speak to his father? Or Henry does something brave to bring the family together?

Well, i don’t think Graham was a loved character, i mean not a fan loved one like Rumpel, or Emma or Belle.

But i really don’t think Rumpel is in any real danger. It’s like with Lost, each week, near the last season, Ben Linus haters said that he was going to meet his end and Ben lover was worried (and i was, believe me) And we all know how it ended don’t we?
