I interpreted it as Regina/Mal flashback will be in the EF, to when they first met. Given the new Lana interview I think that’s it. But id also like to see a scene of the past where Regina actually did go visit mal down there. Maybe when she was feeling lonely.

So far, I believe we’ve only seen images of Mal with Ursula and Cruella in what appears to be EF of the past. Yet, we’ve seen images of Ursula and Cruella with Rumple in present-day SB, but no sign of Mal yet in town. Maybe, Ursual, Cruella, and Rumple will resurrect Mal in S4b.
