The events of Lacey are about 3 years before the Curse was cast. Keb could be more specific but that’s the best guess we have. So if Marian died in childbirth (let’s say) about three years before the Curse and then time stopped for 28 years, he might be open to a relationship.

Lacey events happened before Snowing got their act together, because Rumple later gave that bow to Snow, and she inadvertently shot Charming with it while trying to shoot Regina.
August 7, 2013 at 12:14 pm #203517JosephineParticipantWow, just read the whole thread and it looks like Phee’s Regal Hood is looking more and more likely. I think I’m full-on shipping it now. Never thought I’d be on a Regina ship. (But I said the same thing about Hook and like RG I’m obsessed with Hookriel.)
My headcanon is starting to form, and it’s probably all wrong that the events might have happened in the following order:
- RH saved Marian with the magic wand.
- Marian has a baby girl.
- a.) Marian and the baby are sent to our world and Marian dies leaving the baby to be raised by her “grandmother” or b.) Marian dies in the Enchanted forest and the baby is put into Marian’s mother’s care, who flees to our world with the baby.
- RH, now without his family, runs into Snow and trains her to fight and become a bandit.
- RH helps “take back the kingdom”
- Curse happens…cut to beginning of Season 3 in Storybrooke.
- RH helps out Belle, maybe as the new sheriff or just assistance.
- Finds out Tamara was his daughter (Dum dum dummmm!)
- NL crew get back and Regina and RH reluctantly fall in love.
Okay, I’m missing big chunks of my story, but I just woke up and my brain isn’t functioning on all cylinders. And probably none of this will happen. But it’s nice to theorize. And ties together a few of our crackiest theories. Now all I need to do is find someway to entwine Tinker-Momma in and we’re all go for the season. (Also know as “Ouat: if we wrote the show!”)

August 7, 2013 at 1:17 pm #203533SlurpeezParticipantI think the fact that Regina will get a potential love interest early on in the season is a good indication he could be Captain Hook. He and Regina are being thrown together a lot since they’re together on a ship headed for NL. Even though a lot of people pair Emma and Hook together, Jennifer Morrison has even said in recent interviews at Comic-Con that Emma is only thinking about finding Henry at this stage (which means she’s not even thinking about romance in the first half of the season). I highly doubt that Regina and Greg would ever be an item, since she murdered his dad and all. Charming and Rumple already have women in their lives which means the only eligible bachelor is Killian Jones (Peter Pan and the Lost Boys are much too young to be viable candidates for Regina). Unless Robin Hood shows up in NL and has been widowed by the death of Maid Marian, he’s not a real suitor for Regina.

I agree!!!!
August 7, 2013 at 1:33 pm #203535JosephineParticipantStill don’t think it will be Hook. Nope. He’s destined for the CaptainSwanFire debacle. They’re not going to throw Regina into that mix, too.

Agreed. Triangles are tricky enough to do well, (and they will for sure pursue the CaptainSwanFire triangle). No sense making it harder for themselves by involving Regina too.
She wouldn’t tolerate being part of that nonsense, anyway. She’s been screwed around by love enough, so she’s not gonna sit around while Hook sorts out his feelings for Emma. If she was gonna be determined to get a piece of him, she’d have to be aggressively going after his love, trying to wrench his attention away from Emma (and Neal, because you know he’ll have residual wannabe-step-daddy-feels to sort through when he sees Bae again). That’s the complete opposite of what they’ve implied about her probably being hesitant about loving again.
August 7, 2013 at 1:49 pm #203537RumplesGirlKeymasterSee I agree with Jo. If they are going to do CaptainSwanFire then they wouldn’t add Regina to this mix. It would be a nightmare. No matter what they do with Hook, Emma or Ariel or even Regina, it won’t come until after they find Henry. That’s everyones prime concern. And since we’re supposed to be shown her new love interest early in the season, I don’t know that it could be someone Regina is currently interacting with, which leaves flashbacks.

Or it’s just gonna happen in the future. Part of my thinking with RegalHood is that he lived in Sherwood Forest, but Regina terrorised the Enchanted Forest, which means he was never directly affected by her deeds and never saw them first hand. That would put him in the position of not being quite as judgy about her as everyone else we’ve met so far is. I dunno that anyone who lived under her rule back in FTL would ever be able to truly give her a chance. But if all he knows about Regina is a story Snow told him about the woman who saved her from falling off a horse and dying, and how Snow believes there’s still good in her and wishes it could be brought out, (the story she told to DisguisedRegina), then he’s gonna be in more of a position to want to get to know her than most other people would.
