True, but the stuff about “but will she be able to let love in” along with the soulmate talk makes it sound like it’s something she’ll have to work at IMO. That’s a different kinda soulmate situation to Corumple, where it was more about giving into corruption instead of working for something healthy. If this wasn’t intended to ultimately be a positive and significant relationship for Regina, what’s the point of them implying that she’ll have to find some new strength to let the love in?

Heartless Cora may be soul mates with the Dark One, but I believe uncorrupted, human Rumplestiltskin’s true soul mate is Belle. The term “kindred spirit” has been used to describe the connection between Captain Hook and Emma, but I believe Emma’s true love is Neal. So, possibly Robin Hood will be Regina’s soul mate without being her endgame, but no one knows except for the two masterminds, Adam and Eddy.

NATALIE: We’ll meet her love interest very early on in the season, which presumably means that he or she hails from Neverland. “It’s a side of the character of Regina we’ve only touched upon in the first two seasons,” executive producer Adam Horowitz says. “We’re excited to see more of that and more importantly to explore her capacity for love.” Does anyone else think she could be paired with him?

I betting on Hook then with Regina. although that Felix guy after all he is a man and not a lost boy and is a little younger might work for Regina too.September 14, 2013 at 10:32 am #209774RumplesGirlKeymasterCan’t be Hook (at least not yet) because during #AskLana, Lana said that Regina hasn’t met her new love interest yet and she’s known Hook for a long time.

Yea, RG you are right but there is Felix 😉
September 14, 2013 at 10:51 am #209781PriceofMagicParticipantFelix may have possibly been ruled out. Lana said she hasn’t met Regina’s new love interest yet but we may have. When I tweeted Parker Croft (Felix’s actor) asking if he’d filmed any scenes with Lana, his reply was that his “lips are sealed”. I’m assuming he may have since he didn’t say no which rules out Felix.
However, did Lana mean that she the actress hadn’t met the guy playing her new love interest or that Regina hadn’t met the guy? If it’s the latter and not the former the n Felix is still in the running.
Also why the secrecy over whether or not Felix and Regina are in the same scene unless something happens in that scene that could possibly lead to spoilers. RegalCat is not yet dead.

Keeper of FelixSeptember 14, 2013 at 11:18 am #209789kfchimeraParticipantI really doubt RegalCat–and the actual spoiler is ONLY that WE will meet her eventual love interest early in the season. We have a second spoiler from Lana that it is a “he” and that her character (maybe herself?) has not met him.
The writer of that article just assumed that meant that Regina would meet him early on, and therefore since Regina is in NL he would have to be hail from Neverland. The writer made that bit up and didn’t think about the fact that maybe Regina meets the love interest in flashback or that someone else might come to NL unexpectedly (like say, Robin Hood arriving with Neal from FTL?). Or that Regina might end up back in SB earlier in the season than we all think. Or that Regina doesn’t meet the love interest, but we do.
So for example, maybe it is Eric, and we meet Eric in SB with Belle. Regina doesn’t meet him. She doesn’t have scenes with him. It’s not for a long while down the road, after we see a lot of good out of Regina and reform that she even does meet him, and by then she’s not sure how anyone could love her after all she’s done, so she doesn’t interpret his attention as love.
I think Hook is ruled out, and while Felix isn’t, I really don’t think he would fit Lana’s idea of “manly”.

September 14, 2013 at 11:20 am #209790HappyEndingsSpectatorWe don’t meet Eric till 3.06 so it isn’t Eric.
September 14, 2013 at 11:25 am #209792kfchimeraParticipant6th episode out of 22 episodes? I would think that is still early. They didn’t say “early in the first half of the season”.

September 14, 2013 at 11:26 am #209793PriceofMagicParticipantI can’t get behind RegalHood at the moment but that may change after seeing a couple of episodes of season 3.
Regina/Eric is possible since Eric is going to be in multiple episodes which suggests that he has a story which exists outside of Ariel. I would support Regina/Eric over RegalHood.
Also “manly” can be subjective. Neal is a different kind of “manly” compared to Hook as is Rumple to Charming.
