I wonder if they will do crossover characters between OUAT and OUATIW. Maybe Jafar is Regina’s new love interest?

They have confirmed that there will be some crossover, however at TCA’s this past weekend they said a few times that you don’t need to watch OUAT in order to watch OUATinWL and vice versa, so I doubt it. That sort of really intense crossover would mean you had to watch both shows.

I don’t think Emma and Hook will be romantically linked beyond some flirtation which would leave Hook open as a potential suitor for Regina without there being any awkward strings attached with Emma.
Also, I just think Hook and Regina have more in common than even Emma and Hook do. Both Regina and Hook have been so consumed by revenge over lost love for so long that it had caused them to miss out on life (recall that very telling conversation between Hook and Regina in 2×21). Emma is also reeling over Neal whereas both Hook and Regina have had a lot longer to get over the immediate grief of losing the ones they love to death. It would just be so unrealistic for Emma to confess her love for Neal in the end of S2 and then just turn around and find herself in the arms of another man.

I don’t know. I think they’ve set up Emma and Hook to be more than just some flirtation, even if it’s one sided (Hook). I don’t think they’ll reduce CaptainSwan to just casual flirting, they’ve put a lot in to it; way more than HookedQueen. It’s not even about fan service with CS, there has just honestly been more CS stuff than HQ.

Every villain needs an anchor to keep them rooted to the good side. Rumple has Belle. If Regina and Hook got together that would just be like Rumple and Cora making a long term go of it. Not a good thing. I can’t imagine either allowing the other to see a vulnerable side of them. Each would be constantly doubting the other’s trust. It would be a double-sided disaster.
However, I could see Robin, knowing true love once before (assuming poor Marian is dead) and Regina with her history of Daniel being able to sympathize with the other. Both have lost the one person they’ve loved. And it brings back A&E talking about loving after losing your true love again.
Reminds me of a quote from the movie Sleepless in Seattle:
Doctor Marcia Fieldstone: People who truly loved once are far more likely to love again. Sam, do you think there’s someone out there you could love as much as your wife?
Sam Baldwin: Well, Dr. Marcia Fieldstone, that’s hard to imagine.
Doctor Marcia Fieldstone: What are you going to do?
Sam Baldwin: Well, I’m gonna get out of bed every morning… breath in and out all day long. Then, after a while I won’t have to remind myself to get out of bed every morning and breath in and out… and, then after a while, I won’t have to think about how I had it great and perfect for a while.
Oh, I just love that movie. *sighs* It’s about a man who lost the love of his life and eventually begins to open his heart and learn to live again. Reminds me potentially of Regina and her losing Daniel.

August 7, 2013 at 3:03 pm #203576HappyEndingsSpectatorHook and Regina are two peas in the same pod. Hook likes Bae, Regina loves Henry. Hook loved Bae’s mom so why not have Hook love Regina he seems to like everyone that is connected to Rumble in some way. Besides you all keep saying evil isn’t born so they both can help each other and learn from each other pasts.

This!!

Also, I think in a way, Robin could actually remind Regina of Daniel. Not that she should be trying to replace Daniel, I’m just saying, I think she could see something in Robin that would remind her of the type of man she first loved. Daniel didn’t have or care for riches. Robin robbed from the rich to give to the poor, (traditionally that’s one of his major traits, so I’m assuming they’ll keep it in the show). Both of them good men, with humble desires in life in order to be happy. Daniel and Regina’s relationship could potentially mirror Robin and Marian’s if they stick with the idea that Marian was a noble, who ended up running away to live with Robin in the forest. That’s exactly what Daniel and Regina were planning to do.
So I think that Regina could potentially see things in Robin that will remind her of the time in her life when she was happiest, of the things she wanted back then that would have given her her happy ending. Then she’ll finally realise that what she’s been doing all the years since, abusing her power and trying to destroy others in order to gain her happy ending is never gonna actually bring her true happiness. Someone like Robin could force that serious reality check for her.
I can’t see any already existing character who would be able to ever change Regina for the better, and I may not be an EvilRegal, (actually, re-watching S1 lately, I’ve been reminded of how much I dislike her), but I hold out hope that eventually she will turn a corner and be able to be truly happy.
