The episode will also mark the return of Sheriff Graham (Jamie Dornan) and Billy the Mechanic (Jarod Joseph). “We are going to get more insight into what that was like in that very first week in 1983 and what is was like for the Evil Queen to win,” Kitsis said, adding that we’ll discover why Regina chose to adopt Henry in the episode.

Thanks for that! There’s a theory that Greg is the boy who inspired Regina to adopt Henry. The boy “Owen” could be a young Greg, and he also looks a lot like Henry.

I wonder if the Blue Fairy will figure into Regina wanting to adopt Henry. After The Queen is Dead, I really need to see Sneaky Fairy because my world was shattered that maybe I’m dead wrong about her.

Yep, we wouldn’t. Adam and Eddy also said that the episode would specifically take place during the first week of the curse in 1983. Henry wouldn’t even be born for another 18 years. However, we’re supposed to see how Regina decides she wants a kid of her own. I do hope we get the full Henry adoption story by at least next Season, and maybe even see his first 10 years living there.

I have a theory about how Regina adopted Henry. I was re-listening to the ABC official podcasts with Adam and Eddy. In the one for 2×11 The Cricket Game, someone asked if Regina would lose her memory if she were to leave SB. Adam replied, “No, Regina, because she enacted the curse and doesn’t have new curse memories, she is who she is. She could theoretically leave and be fine.” Then Eddy said something I found very interesting, “Perhaps she already has. Who knows? We’ll have to keep watching.” I love how Eddy usually gives more hints than Adam, because this got the wheels in my head turning. If someone like August were simply to have called Mr. Gold about a baby needing a home, even without his memories, Mr. Gold could have arranged for Regina to adopt a specific child, Henry. If Regina has left SB before, perhaps she even traveled to AZ to adopt baby Henry. 💡
