I rather like the first one given that Blue is also known as Ruel Gorem which means Blue Star. But I also wonder if it has something to do with their morals, ethics, and the way they practice magic. If fairies are supposed to be good and practice Light magic, then when they go Dark, are they no longer considered fairies by the rest of the fairy communitiy?
Maybe they become the equivalent of a “dark hole” which is a collapsed star with a strong gravitation pull. Anything, including light, that gets too close gets sucked into oblivion and utter darkness.
Kidding aside, maybe the “light” fairies shun the dark fairies, strip them of their wands and wings, and excommunicate them from whatever order they follow.

I really like that. Maybe that’s what happened to Tink; she went Dark and Blue shunned her from FTL and forced her into exile in NL.

August 20, 2013 at 10:56 pm #205996RumplesGirlKeymasterThat’s right she did! So a fairy falling in love is equal to going Dark. Well that’s twisted. Did that happen with Tink? She fell in love and wanted to stop being a Fairy and Blue freaked on her, as Blue is wont to do.

I’m not sure that a fairy falling in love means she goes dark. It just sound like a fairy would lose her wings and would become a normal human if she pursued romance. Going dark implies that a fairy would use her magic for evil rather than for good. So, maybe Tinkerbell just decided to do dark magic rather than light magic? Perhaps it’s fueled by whatever emotion she’s overcome with. I could see this being the case for Maleficent, who was called a bad fairy in the “Sleeping Beauty” cartoon.

So: to sum up, maybe Tink fell in love with a human and decided to give up her wings and live a non magical non fairy life. Blue stops this from happening (headcanon: because Blue lost her one true love many many many centuries ago when she made him the first Dark One to prevent him from dying). Tink becomes spiteful and decides to seek revenge on Blue and the rest of the fairies but using dark Magic. Blue banishes her to NL.

It’s all speculation but, as loathe as I am to admit this, the way people feel right now about Eric and where he should be or who he should be is, to some degree, steming from the quesiton of “who do you ship.” It’s wrong and it’s sad and I hate myself for it but it is playing a part. I’m sort of hoping that Eric spurned Ariel for Vanessa.
In the original tale, the prince ended up with another woman and not the mermaid. This is what Im thinking as well. But the sad part is, that means no hope for baby Melody (Ariel and Eric’s baby) 🙁

Hook seemed to know her. She was an “old friend” of Regina, that connected to guarding the plot device..oh sorry, fail-safe. What if she came to FTL at some point in the past, like when Rumple went to NL before?
Funny fact but a tinkerbell float replaced the blue fairy float in Disney’s electric parade in the Magic Kingdom park.

I posted a theory about this awhile back. https://oncepodcast.com/forums/topic/maleficent-is-tinkerbell-theory/

LOL My initial reaction was pretty much the same as RG’s. There may or may not have been expletives uttered. 😛
I’ve never been an Eric fan so I’m 100% a fan of his only being in the past. It just fits with the feeling of Once to have Ariel’s story with Eric combine both the Disney and Anderson version. Plus, I’m just so into Hookriel atm. I’m so glad there are other Hookriel fans. It’s such a crackship and shot down often that it’s nice just to have others who are open to the idea.
I know people will hate it, but the thought that Ariel doesn’t get her happy ending with her prince is fascinating. And it’s time to jerk another character around in the romantic department besides Rumbelle.
I’ve been saying that if they have Eric, I doubt they’d have him marry someone else, and right now I’m sticking with that. In the movie, Vanessa was Ursula, and in the original, his bride was just some unnamed princess. If they’re gonna marry Eric off to someone other than Ariel, that will mean introducing another new character and establishing her enough to show why Eric chose her instead, and I dunno that they’d do that if they’re trying to keep the number of characters reined in this season. While I don’t think they’d have Eric marry someone else, I could see them killing him off, so Ariel’s love was doomed, in keeping with the Anderson version, (I’ve always hoped they’d borrow from both versions of the story).
Now, let’s say Liam is Eric. I’ve been saying I’m convinced that Liam will be Killian’s father, most likely bio-dad, but potentially adopted dad. Last night I posted that perhaps if this Liam guy was an orphan, if he found baby Killian, maybe he adopted him so he wouldn’t have to suffer the same fate of growing up alone. If Liam is Eric, and also Killian’s father, the shipper in me needs for them to not be related by blood. 😛
I’m still not on board with Ariel and Eric being his parents for other, non-shipper reasons though. The main reason I’m opposed to the theory is I’m just not a fan of Hook meeting his mother in present day NL and her being the same age as him, because having parents your same age is Emma’s thing, and should remain unique to Emma, otherwise it dilutes and cheapens her special-ness and her particular struggle.
