I remember that theory!
Well I don’t know how this plays in but the actress playing Tink is Australian and the woman who plays Mal is not (so far as I know)
Also t-word wise, we’re meeitng Tink in NL with PP (we think?) and Mal is currently..something in the mine. I was never clear on that.
*edit*

I really have no idea. I was so confused about what that whole thing was.

However, I think that Ariel losing Eric would make for a great story and growing point, plus seething to bond with Hook about. I basically just don’t want Eric to be her happily after cuz I’d find that kinda boring, even though that’s my ultimate Disney favorite. What can I say, I ship Hookriel 🙂

I’d forgotten the Watcher mentioning that one before, but I feel like somehow Tink is not actively around as it seems like she may only be in one or two episodes total. I”m not sure why I have that feeling.
So somehow, I”m convinced Tink is no longer active–maybe lack of belief, effect of curse?

Yeah, that’s really Emma’s story. It takes away from her development if suddenly another character as the exact same problem.
I wonder if, at the same time PP is trying to take Henry’s heart/soul/shadow/whatever, Tink is also trying to get back to FTL. Maybe her goal isn’t the same as PP’s. He wants Henry and Tink wants revenge on FTL and Blue.

I could see that being the case. We know there is a history between Tink and the BF. We just don’t know yet if it’s negative or positive. Perhaps Tink and the BF are in cahoots and working together for some “greater purpose” that we’ve yet to discover. Maybe they’re trying to save NL from a curse and Henry is the only one who can break the curse. PP, however, doesn’t wan the curse to be broken, so Tink is secretly working against PP’s aim of taking Henry’s heart.

August 21, 2013 at 9:28 am #206051RumplesGirlKeymasterWe were talking a page or so back about what made Tink go “dark” was that she was denied her TL because she’s a fairy and Blue thinks that is a big no-no. But what if it wasn’t her true love? What if she wanted to give up her wings and power in order to raise Peter Pan? What if he was an orphan, he normally is I believe, and Tink rescued him? She decides she wants to be stop being a fairy and raise him but Blue won’t let her? So they flee to NL.

Do you Tinkerbell is still a fairy then? She gave up her wings to be a mother to Peter Pan, or perhaps she fled just in the nick of time before the BF could demote her status.
Traditionally, Peter Pan is not an orphan. He runs away from home as a week-old infant because he hears of his parents’ plans for him as an adult and he does’t want to grow up. So, he seeks refuge with the fairies of Kensington Gardens. After a while, he returns home, because he fears his mother will miss him. However, he’s saddened that his mother has had another baby and doesn’t seem to miss him at all. So, PP goes to NL. Yet, Tink could still be a stand-in figure for his mother in a way that Wendy traditionally has been cast.
I definitely think there are many different forms of love. We’ve seen how Emma awoke her son from the sleeping curse with a maternal TLK rather than a romantic one. It would be an interesting parallel if we saw Tinkerbell have maternal love for Peter Pan. Yet, he is the brattiest and most devious boy ever. How could he have turned out so twisted if he had Tink’s maternal love? She’d have to be a pretty rotten mother for him to turn out so unless his bad actions are accounted for by some dark curse despite all of Tink’s efforts to influence him for the better. Yet, from what I know of “Violet” (aka Tinkerbell) from her casting call, she is a bit of a party girl. So, I’m not sure that Tink could handle motherhood that easily. Here is the casting call for Violet, who is likely Tinkerbell:
She is in her 20′s, and is a head-strong party girl and often lands in trouble due to her inability to pass up a challenge or a prank.
Seems like Tinkerbell would be a pretty unruly mother, since she always lands into trouble herself. But, that might explain why PP is so unruly and is often getting into trouble. He lacked any real parental authority, so none of his antics or bad behaviors were ever corrected in childhood. He therefore has turned into a pretty devious teenager capable of holding children captive and controlling them with fear-tactics like shadow-ripping. That’s pretty heavy and dark stuff.
