I’ve read two different Once Upon a Time articles (both quoting TVLine, by the way), one stating that Elsa will be in nine episodes and the other stating that Anna will be in nine episodes. I thought I read on your site that it would be Elsa. Could you please clarify? –MGM

Oh, the Internet. Just one big game of “Telephone,” isn’t it? Elsa will appear in about nine episodes, Anna is slated for six to eight, and Kristoff is in as many as six.

Is Once Upon a Time‘s Elsa going to be evil? Or can we assume she will follow the movie character? –Margie

See, that’s the question I had the second it was confirmed who exactly we saw there in the barn. So I asked the series creators if we’ll perhaps be seeing Elsa before — Frozen movie spoiler alert! — she and Anna happily reunited, back when she was in that epic snit. “Maybe yes, maybe no. It could be after,” Adam Horowitz hedged. “One can be in a snit for many reasons.”

Hm. So what are we doing for 2 episodes without Elsa?

    How delightfully vague

I don’t know.  I expected it to cover the full 11 episodes, then again Zelena was killed before the finale.  Yikes.  But it’s nice to know Anna and Kristoff won’t be one-off characters.

All I want is Olaf. He’s my spirit animal.

    Hehe, ‘snit.’

I think I kind of like the idea of this arc’s ‘shiny toys’ not being in all 11 episodes though.  I liked when they took a bit of a break from the main arc and did a little something different.  I wouldn’t mind a few little stories like that here and there.

I get that. But at the same time, 9 episodes isn’t really enough time to flesh out a villain, arc, story, and wrap it up.We had so many left over questions from both Pan and Zelena.

Unless Adam and Eddy are taking it back to Season 2 Days. We may just get nine episodes this arc, and the Spring Premier gets thirteen episodes.

They already confirmed a few times that they’re repeating the 11 episode runs for each half format.

Maybe the remaining episodes will deal with other conflicts (rumbelle) or more relationship driven story.  I can imagine everyone will be on high alert with Elsa on the loose that maybe our characters won’t have a chance to breathe and relax.

We need an episode or two set in the evil mirror universe, or featuring just the minor characters, or a musical. These 11-episode arcs can drag on, and they need a shakeup midway through (not at the end like 3B).

I guess a musical is the most likely; they could all go to the Frozen realm and appear as CGI characters.
