Anyone else think they are just focusing on the Wicked Witch and not bringing in any of the other elements–Dorothy, Tin Man, Scarecrow, Lion?
I think we’ll see Dorothy, who is now a middle-aged woman, and her son, who could be Chris Gorham’s character. There were those pics Jennifer Morrison tweeted from 3×16 of what could be the old Gale family farm. I just don’t think we’ll get to see Dorothy’s adventures in Oz. That story has been done so many times. This will be OUAT’s take on it though.

Good point. And I’m with you on the older Dorothy/ son Henry part. I do think that is who Gorham is playing. In the BTS shots we have of 3×16, there is a middle aged woman standing with the group with a rather large basket-purse. Dorothy? Hopefully the scenes at the farm at least flesh out Dorothy’s tale a bit.

Unless his name is Gale or Theodore, I dont think people could make the jump from son random guy to Dorothy…. But then again, people knew Cora was the queen of hearts just from her name >>

The name Henry Gale would be a definite giveaway. Dorothy Gale might’ve named her son after her Uncle Henry.

They were apparently calling him Henry on set. If that is actually his character’s name, then I could see why they’d want to keep that under wraps because not only do we already have a character named Henry, but the name is also connected to the Oz story, so if they officially confirmed, “Yep his name is Henry,” we’d all have a better chance to figuring out the character before he’s on screen. Based on the info from set about him having been called Henry, I think he’s Dorothy’s son, who she named after her uncle.

Same. The question for me then becomes how did he and Emma meet–was it long ago or only recently?

No idea about that, but I love the idea that the son of Dorothy and the daughter of Snow and Charming, these people who are next generation fairytale/storybook characters, were somehow drawn into each other’s lives in our world.
