Honestly, we had the whole Evil vs Wicked thing between Regina and Zelena just this Spring, so having a focus be Regina vs Elsa would have been redundant. Yes Regina has the most vocal fanbase within the fandom, but she’s not the only character on this show. So Elsa and Emma interacting is something I am totally all for.
I agree with Matt. It’s about time that Emma had a non-romantic FRIEND. Regina got Tink and then she got her sister, even if that was interrupted. Regina’s not the only character.
That maybe so…but Emma has her parents, her son, her brother, Hook, Ruby, Granny, Archie, the Dwarfs, and just about the rest of Storybrooke just because she’s the “Savior”. Emma has people….Regina has lost her mother, her sister, first true love, and more than likely lost Robin for now, and has NO one but Henry and Tink(who left for another show)! Emma could have had Anna, but I think Elsa and Regina should have become friends.

So Episode 402 is not a Regina centric, as many suggested it would be because normally Regina gets the 2nd episode of the Season. However, 302 was a Snowing centric, so this isn’t the first deviation from this trend. Another thing, are they saying Charming actually met Snow White BEFORE Snow Falls during his shepherd days? Maybe he really did, but his memory of their true first encounter was “whitened out”, hence the episode title?

I wouldn’t be surprised. The exact same thing happened with Megara and Hercules in the tv series. They met, and at the end of the episode they both lost their memory so as to not contridict them meeting for the first time on the actual movie.

Wait a minute….wait a minute….somebody’s playing a joke right? Did they….I mean seriously….this is exactly what the Evil Regals were talking about! How can you refer to Regina as the “other” mother….such a dismissive term. She just couldn’t be his mother….she had to be the other mother, the mother who raised him single handily from birth for ten years through holidays, colds, fevers, sickness, school years, baby years with diapers and spit ups! And they call her the “other” mother!!!!!! “
While my first instinct would be to point out some issues with Regina’s parenting, we’ve just been through something similar in another thread, so setting that aside…I really don’t think that wording was meant as a slight against Regina. They simply mentioned Emma first in that sentence. If they’d said something about Regina first, I don’t think they’d hesitate to call Emma his “other mother” later in the sentence.
I was going to reply to another post, but I think I’ll wait till I have my computer because the iPad keyboard and I are not getting along tonight…

I dunno. Given that it’s episode 2 and that Jane wrote it, I’d say it’s more likely that Eddy misspoke
And…Snow and Charming met before Snow Falls…?

Don’t think he mispoke, and the episode title sounds more like a Snowing episode than a Regina episode. Also, Jane could be switching things up again, in terms of who she writes for. She mainly used to write for Rumple, but then moved to writing for Regina. Non Rumple and Regina centric episodes she has written for before, btw, include “That Still Small Voice” (Archie), “Red Handed” (Red/Snow), “An Apple Red as Blood” (Snow), “Tallahassee” (Emma), and “In The Name of the Brother” (Whale/Though there was that Rumbelle supblot in the present day scenes). Not to mention, with all of these new writers joining the staff this Season, that could be a reason if the veteran writers switch up who they write for.
And yeah, Snow and Charming actually meeting before Snow Falls sounds very much like what they were saying…
September 19, 2014 at 9:41 am #282798PanTheManParticipantMy thoughts after reading it were that Princess Snow White made a public appearance (this would be when her dad was still alive), and shepherd Charming saw her at said public appearance. Because she was royalty, and him a sheperd, he probably never looked twice at Snow.
