This does seem to confirm that, like many have been speculating for awhile, Rapunzel is Wish!Hook’s daughter. The real question is who is Rapunzel *now* (Eloise Gardener, Tremaine, The Witch), who’s the mother, and what happened?

She’s tressed for success! ABC’s fantasy Once Upon a Time brings back Rapunzel November 17 for a multi-episode arc that finds the feisty fairy-tale princess—now played by Meegan Warner (Turn: Washington’s Spies)—eager to get even with the evil sorceress who has kept her spellbound and imprisoned for years.
The character, originally played by Alexandra Metz (Chicago Fire) for just one episode in 2014, was rescued back then by Prince Charming (Josh Dallas). This time, Rapunzel will meet the dedicated Captain Hook (Colin O’Donoghue). Hints executive producer Adam Horowitz, “A mystery begins to unravel as soon as Hook climbs her iconic tower.”

–Megan Warner is playing the younger version of Rapunzel. The writers, knowing that Hook is often likened to Flynn Ryder by certain fans, are going to play with this.
–I know it’s sounds totally crack pot but I think Tremaine is really Rapunzel 1.0 and her daughter, Anastasia is really Hook’s daughter (and Eloise Gardener in HH)
–The actors didn’t know at the time that Hook and Tremaine had *that* much history together, only that their characters would know each other. So that’s why the scene in 702 doesn’t scream “we had sex and you broke my heart!” but does suggest that they know each other.
–Obviously the Witch in the Tower is Mother Gothel, who was holding Rapunzel/Tremaine hostage.

I’ve thought Tremaine could definitely be Rapunzel ever since we found out her last name is Belfry in HH. That has to be intentional. That would be really interesting if Anastasia was his daughter. I think you may have cracked the code.
So then I wonder how Gothel fits into this? She kidnaps Rapunzel for whatever reasons (we have seen she can grow magicbplants so I’m assuming the flower youth thing is still a thing) and Rapunzel escapes and marries a rich, royal or noble person and has two kids.
Whats she got to gain by trapping Gothel again?

Sounds like Hook’s storyline will end up tying into the main storyline of the show then. I know a lot of people have been feeling like it’s disjointed at the moment, but if his daughter ends up going after the Witch who is helping the person who cast the Curse, then it’s all gonna tie together eventually.

Seeing how young Wish Hook is, it could be a flashback. He and Rapunzel are about the same age, so it looks like Rapunzel could be his baby mama and not his baby.
