Weren’t Hook and Liam apart of the royal…navy thing?
I just wiki’d Captain Silver here and found that he says he was once apart of the royal navy. So perhaps that a connection.
I hope this guy is actually important to Hook or the plot and not just a one off. At least let him be, like, Blackbeards father or something.

If the boy was cursed, he’d only be like…8 now. If he did escape the curse (but how?) then he’d be old enough, I guess.

Agreed. I suspect that Captain Silver will play into the emotional (and not familial) side of the story; given that he is described as a sometimes-bully, he’ll probably be set up as the example of how to NOT captain a crew in the Navy that both Naval!Liam and Naval!Killian take to heart. We’ll probably even get a line from Liam about “when we captain our own crew, we won’t be like him.”
