PriceofMagic Participant Perhaps Dorothy will be part of the LGBT storyline with Mulan? Although that could be somewhat eyebrow raising for several reasons. 1. Dorothy is a derogatory nickname for a gay man. 2. Judy Garland who played Dorothy in the 1939 movie became a gay icon. 3. The gay pride logo is a rainbow and Dorothy is “over the rainbow”. It would seem a bit too on the nose but then again subtlety is not A&E’s strong point.
Maybe the couple are Dorothy and Zelena, lol, bc if someone tries to kill u means TL, and stays somehow away from possible future disney movies in the future, like Mulan etc. The wicked witch and Dorothy are not associated to Disney, so they may have more freedom to play with the characters in terms of LGBT storyline.
Now speaking in a more serious tone, maybe Dorothy kills Zelena and that sends her to underworld and there she meets the rest of the gang

Um total rip off of Emerald City, much?

Keeper of Thor’s Hammer, Will Scarlet’s Genie Bottle, Emma’s Gun, Emma and Henry’s Moment at the Castle, Cora, and the infamous Family Tree!

This particular bent on Dorothy, though feels too Emerald City to be coincidental. Especially since EC is coming out fairly soon (actually….April 15, 2016…so right around episode 515/516, probably when Dorothy is coming back)

Dorothy belongs with Ozma.
December 8, 2015 at 9:24 pm #314009PheeParticipantIf Dorothy’s some warrior trying to destroy Zelena once and for all, I’ll be cheering her on.
1. Dorothy is a derogatory nickname for a gay man.
I thought it was “Friend of Dorothy”, and it wasn’t derogatory, it was a term that the gay community will use to identify themselves in a positive, unifying light, because Judy Garland became such an icon for them?
They keep saying how they don’t want to treat an LGBTQ relationship like it’s a “very special storyline”, but having Dorothy of all people involved would kind of make the whole thing smack of cliche, would it not?

Yes this is correct. And also because the character of Dorothy was so accepting of everyone she met.

And who kisses Dorothy every time they meet (but in the 1910s that wasn’t as sexual a thing as it is now, to be fair).

Not just that, if they air EC in Spring( they started filming EC in november, have 5 months of filming, so by march they must end filming), and if NBC doesnt send Game of Silence to sundays at 10pm, i see, EC being a sunday 10pm show,bc they said they want to do a twist on OZ story with a Game of Thrones vibe, so that would mean they would even air on same day, one hour apart, this again, if they air during the time ouat is still on.
Also, lets not forget that EC was supposed to air around the time OUAT was on S3B, but NBC cancelled and brought it back again for this season, here is a part of the storyline:
Swept up into the eye of a tornado, 20-year-old Dorothy Gale (Adria Arjona) is transported to another world — a mystical land in great peril, where an all-powerful Wizard has forbidden magic and rules over the many kingdoms. This is the fabled Land of Oz in a way you’ve never seen before – where lethal warriors roam, wicked witches plot in the shadows, and a young girl from Kansas becomes the headstrong hero who holds the fate of their world in her hands.
